Some of you may have noticed that the updates had slowed down for awhile last month, due to personal reasons. I have started to pick up the pace and will finally start to post about the Syfy Digital Press Tour from last month (day one coming in a few minutes) as well as post more from the Fan Expo and the set visits (what's not embargoed), so stay tuned there is a lot of great content on the way soon. I apologize for the delay.

You may have noticed recently that some of the posts have been behind or missing, etc. We have been experiencing hosting/server issues recently and have been looking for a solution/alternatives. It appears we may have found one and some of the issues may be fixed soon, which will also enable time for more updates. Thank you for your patience.

Something I added broke the layout of the site when you click on "page 2" or beyond. In order to fix it I need to unpublish some articles to see which is causing the issue. If you are trying to access something recent and it disappears, that is why. It will be fixed shortly.

SciFi Vision is expanding and one of our new features is going to be coverage of film, including news, photos, and more. Other changes are coming soon. Stay tuned.

I had mentioned previously that I was having site issues, and that is still the case. Because this weekend it is important for the site not to crash (and I found out today it has still been limited causing it to slow down) I will have to temporary turn off a few things that take up high resources, until I get back from Toronto and have time to find out what script is causing an error. This will most likely result in the shut down of my Fandom Gallery. However, all photos from this year's press tour and the previous ones will be available at the press gallery via http://pressgallery.scifivision.com. This contains all but the older photos which will be available again soon.

If you notice anything not working today it is because I am trying to fix the site - something, maybe a plugin is causing the server to run much higher than it should. I have unlimited bandwidth on my webserver, but evidently it isn't exactly unlimited if it goes high enough. Given that I haven't suddenly had a high influx of traffic and it hasn't happened before (at least from what I can tell) I am assuming and hoping it is a script.

In the event it's not a script but the traffic I get, I'm not sure what is going to happen as I don't have $100 or whatever a month to pay for a dedicated server. Though I am going to start with some ads if I can figure it out, I don't know if it will be enough. For the moment I am turning off the one module I was using to display photos. This will only affect the galleries under "multimedia>promo photos" and only those directly on SFV (for example the press tour photos in the actually gallery won't be affected). I'm waiting to see if this fixes the issue, as they are the newest thing I have added to the site.

I am currently in the process of (finally) updating Joomla, so if it shows up strangely, for now please ignore it The area for the moment that is most affected is the menus. Some of them are unneeded or link to something else. It will be in working order soon. Thank you.

Suddenly I noticed that the top menu bar was empty. I wasn't sure what happened so I went into the admin panel to check the menu - which is empty. It appears all of the menus items have vanished, and I have no idea why. I am hoping that it is something to do with the server upgrade, but I will try to find out. In the meantime, if you need a link to a specific article, please let me know, I can look it up in the admin panel.

UPATED: Just found out it is because the server has been upgraded and is now running PHP 5.3. I'm looking into a way to fix the problem. Thank you for your patience.

Recently the server on which this site resides has been under maintenence. While I'm not sure if the front end was affected much, my joomla administration panel was working incorrectly - I could not save or publish articles. It seems to be back up and running. I apologize for the lateness of some of these articles and any inconvenience.
