The Woman Who Fell to Earth**Below is a detailed recap of the episodes, including quotes and spoilers. You can also check out my recent review.**

Doctor Who - 11.01 - “The Woman Who Fell to Earth”

The episode opens with Ryan Sinclair (Tosin Cole) recording a video on YouTube about the greatest person he ever met. He continues by saying that he’s not an idiot, he is capable, even though he’s nineteen, and because of the thing he’s talked about before, he can’t yet ride a bike.

The scene switches to Grace O’Brien (Sharon D. Clarke), Ryan’s grandmother, and her husband Graham (Bradley Walsh), trying to help him learn to ride. After falling and becoming frustrated, he throws the bike over the cliff, to the disappointment of his nan. They want him to not give up. They send him to retrieve the bike and tell him to meet them on the train.

Doctor Who - The Woman Who Fell To Earth - Jodie Whittaker Holds Her Own As The Doctor

Doctor Who - 11.01 - "The Woman  Who Fell to Earth"

*Contains spoilers for 11.01*

The Woman Who Fell to EarthBefore going into the premiere, I knew the episode would be different: new Doctor, new showrunner - a new start. I have to admit, I’d been hesitant about how the show would feel with a female Doctor. I trusted the writers, and I already knew that Jodie Whittaker is an outstanding actress by her work on Broadchurch, among other projects, but as a super fan of the show, I was still afraid of change. Don’t get me wrong, the idea to me of a female Doctor was fantastic and empowering, but could she fill the shoes of those before her?

Killjoys - Sporemageddon - 4.10 - Post Mortem

Killjoys**Following the review is a detailed recap of the episode, including quotes. Note that there are many spoilers for episode 4.10 in both the review and recap, so please don’t read any further until you’ve watched it. You can also check out my recent spoiler-free review if you prefer**

From the get-go of the episode, Hannah John-Kamen instantly embodies the character of Aneela, as it is obvious who the boys are dealing with. I loved how they play her off to Pree (Thom Allison) as a drunk Dutch. I also liked how she continues to call John (Aaron Ashmore), Johnny Favorite, through the episode, and seems disgusted by it. Definitely not a term of endearment.

I also enjoyed the explanations that Aneela gives in the episode to help viewers finally piece together what we know about the Green. A lot I’m sure most fans had guessed, but it’s nice to get some confirmation.

Wynonna Earp - When You Call My Name - 3.02 Review and Recap

Wynonna EarpFollowing the review is a detailed recap of the episode, including quotes. Note that there are many spoilers for episode 3.02 in both.

I was told recently in an interview by Tim Rozon, who plays Doc Holliday, that this week’s episode was one everyone would be talking about for a long time to come. Boy he was not kidding!

The main storyline through the episode was fairly dark for the show, considering a revenant (Dimitri Vantis) is running around in the woods caging up and eating humans. Stealing their voices was an interesting addition, though it’s never really clear why or how he has the power, other than he’s a revenant.

I also find his ramblings about the forest moving interesting. He sounds nuts, but the hunter that talks to Nicole (Katherine Barrell) also mentions the trails being off, so it makes me wonder if it’s something to do with Bulshar (Jean Marchand) having risen and that we may see more of this later.
