Syfy Celebrates "Face Off" with a Live Event at the Grove
Syfy looks to host a great Live event tomorrow at 12:30pm PT at The Grove to show fans what will be happening on their brand new reality series Face-Off. Those in LA have the opportunity to attend the event as world class make-up artists are going to transform people into incredible creations with a Mother Earth theme using their talents. It will be a great way for fans to see first-hand the process of how personalities are created with make-up before Face-Off airs next Wednesday at 10/9c on Syfy.

WHO: Syfy's Face Off, a new competition reality series that will showcase the artistry of special FX make-up, exploring the world of these pros and the unlimited imagination which allows them to create amazing works of living art. The series will introduce 12 up-and-coming SFX make-up artists who will face off in a series of elaborate challenges from imagining an entirely new species to conceptualizing a creature that would inhabit a newly discovered planet. It all culminates in one winner and one $100,000 grand prize that will launch a career.
As a member of the multi-generational family dynasty whose name is synonymous with the make-up effects field, actress McKenzie Westmore brings poise and expertise to her role as host of the series. Judging the competition are some of the most renowned names in the SFX world -- three-time Academy Award winner Ve Neill, famed special make-up effects artist Glenn Hetrick and creature designer/film director Patrick Tatopoulos. Their multi-disciplined approach and straight-forward constructive feedback will challenge the contestants and push them to the top of their game.
WHAT: A live demonstration of professional make-up artists creating incredible transformations. Attendees will witness the various stages of Hollywood special effects at work as live models are changed into fantastical representations of Mother Earth.
