Just when we think American Horror Story can’t get any more ghastly, the writers come up with another shocking surprise. This week’s sickening twist saw Shelley at Dr. Arden’s mercy; he’s amputated her legs, so there will be no escape.

Even actress Chloe Sevigny was a bit frightened shooting the scenes. “It’s quite scary because James [Cromwell] was so big and he was wielding this big paperweight at me. He was getting really close and it was pretty frightening, actually, doing that scene. His arms are so long, I was so afraid he was actually going to knock me out."

Believe it or not, things can and will get worse. Sevigny spilled a few details: “She becomes more and more helpless. It’s very tragic, actually.

“I think he wants to make it so she can’t run away. And it only gets worse for Shelley.”

Does Shelley’s fate lie with the other creatures living outside the asylum? “She might be going in that direction,” Sevigny told us.

“You see her transformed into something, something not so pleasant to look at. It’s four hours of prosthetic makeup.”

When tonight's episode of The X Factor kicks off, the top 16 contestants of The X-Factor will perform live for the first time. Known for his role as Steve Urkel on Family Matters growing up, and more recently for competing on Dancing with the Stars, Jaleel White is also host of the game show, Total Blackout, which returns to Syfy tonight for season two. In the game show, contestants face each other and their fears by competing in challenges set in complete darkness. A couple of the challenges include guessing the height or weight of a group of live creatures, and crawling through a plexiglass maze to collect objects.

White recently talked to the digital media about his expereicents in the second season of Total Blackout.

Tonight Syfy will air the second season finale of Alphas. The episode is a culmination of Stanton Parish's plan as the team races to stop him from killing non-Alphas all over the country. The episode was written by executive producer, Bruce Miller, and guest stars the popular Summer Glau, who returns once again as Alpha Skylar Adams.

Miller has previously worked on other popular series, such as Syfy's Eureka, as well as shows like 4400 and In Plain Sight, all of which has has also written for.

Glau is well known throughout the science fiction community for roles on series such as Firefly, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and Dollhouse, to name a few.

In preparation for tonight's episode the two talked to the digital media about what fans can expect.

Most people probably recognize Matthew Perry from his roles as Chandler Bing on the popular series Friends. However, since then, Perry has starred in other television series, such as Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip and Mr. Sunshine, which he also helped create and wrote for, and also had a recurring role in the series The Good Wife.

Perry once again stars in his own sitcom: Go On, coming to NBC. Perry recently participated in a conference call with the digital media to talk about his new series, and SciFi Vision took part.

This week NBC will premiere the highly anticipated drama, Chicago Fire. The series follows the lives of the firefighters, rescue squad, and paramedics of Chicago Firehouse 51. The series stars Jesse Spencer as Lt. Matthew Casey and Taylor Kinney as Lt. Kelly Severide, both well known to television audiences. Spencer is probably best known for his roles in Neighbors and House M.D.; Kinney has appeared in multiple series as well, including Fashion House and The Vampire Diaries.

The two stars, as well as executive producer Danielle Gelber, talked to the media recently about the new series.
