Today Disney+ released the second of the trio of new Doctor Who specials featuring David Tennant as the Doctor and Catherine Tate as Donna Noble, his companion. The episode picks up where the last left off, with Donna having spilled coffee on the console, causing a malfunction in the TARDIS, whisking them away to some unknown place in time and space. They unexpectedly arrive on a spaceship at the edge of time and space, beyond the reach of even the stars. Because the TARDIS is essentially rebooting, when it senses danger, it follows an old hostile action displacement system (HADS) to take off, leaving the duo alone – and without the Doctor’s sonic screwdriver. The ship at first shows no signs of life, but once they start messing around, they discover things are not what they seem, as they find themselves faced with life forms that have no shape and copy theirs, leading to a trippy adventure that tests how well they know each other.

Doctor Who returns to television screens today for the first of the long-awaited 60^th anniversary specials, “The Star Beast,” directed by Who alum Rachel Talalay. Newly regenerated with an old face, David Tennant reprises the title role, along with Catherine Tate as Donna Noble. Russel T. Davies also returns as showrunner.

When we last left Donna back in 2008, she accidentally took in a blast of regeneration energy that had been stored in the Doctor’s hand that overloaded her human brain with Time Lord knowledge. The Doctor was able to section off that part of her and keep her alive, at the cost of having to wipe all of her memories of the two of them. The special, which picks up fifteen years later, does a decent job of recapping what you might have missed, although in a somewhat stilted way having the two characters literally explaining it to the viewer. However, after the new opening credits, it jumps right into the fun. 

Recently, the season two finale of Bosch Legacy premiered on Amazon Freevee. In the episode, at the conclusion of the Lexi Parks case, Chandler (Mimi Rogers) announced her plans to run for District Attorney. In another shocking twist, Preston Borders (Chris Browning) taunts Bosch (Titus Welliver), by telling Maddie (Madison Lintz) on the phone from prison that he’s killed Kurt Dockweiler (David Denman) at his request.

Tonight, an all-new episode of SurrealEstate premieres on Syfy. In the episode, “Let Sleeping Dogs Lie,” while Luke (Tim Rozon) reconnects with his mother (Jennifer Dale), Zooey (Savannah Basley), worried for Susan (Sarah Levy), ventures to her new house.

Recently, stars Rozon and Levy talked to SciFi Vision about working on the second season, including how Luke was feeling about the way he mistreated Susan and how difficult it was to be mean to Sarah, Susan’s motivations for not returning to the Roman Agency, filming the wall pulling her into the house, how the group dynamics change with the addition of Lomax (Elena Juatco), a bit about Luke reconnecting with his mother, and more.

Tonight, the final episode of Fear the Walking Dead aired on AMC and AMC Plus. “The Road Ahead,” which was directed by Michael Satrazemis, picked up where part one of the finale ended, with Madison (Kim Dickens) having stabbed Troy Otto (Daniel Sharman), only to have him reveal that Tracy (Antonella Rose) was Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey)’s daughter. What follows is an epic conclusion of second chances and things coming full circle, with a shocking reveal before the end. 

Recently, Satrazemis spoke with SciFi Vision about filming the finale, including paralleling the scene of Madison’s sacrifice to that of season four, what it was like working on the end of a series, the challenges of the episode, working with a lot of walkers, keeping the secret of the final reveal, and more.

Tonight the two-part finale of Fear the Walking Dead aired on AMC and AMC Plus. Last week, June (Jenna Elfman), Dwight (Austin Amelio), and Sherry (Christine Evangelista) planned to hand Tracy (Antonella Rose) over to her father (Daniel Sharman), but Strand (Coleman Domingo) messed up their plans. Through the course of the episode, Madison (Kim Dickens) realized that Tracy was lying about knowing where Alicia (Alycia Debnam-Carey) was, and by the end of the episode, Madison went off on her own to stop Troy Otto (Daniel Sharman) and hopefully find out the truth of what happened to her daughter. The finale, which picks up there, follows Madison as she continues her mission to find the truth, which ends in a shocking revelation that fans won’t see coming.

Recently, Dickens and Elfman spoke with the press about the finale episode, and specifically to SciFi Vision, about what they would love to see for their characters if they ever were to return to the franchise, as well as the defining moments that fundamentally changed their characters for the better.

Ana (Vanessa Benavente), who works as a housekeeper, brings her teenage son, Nico (Ezekiel Pacheco), to clean an affluent family’s home in Los Angeles. When her employers, Peter (Noah Wyle) and Marianne Barris (Miranda Otto), tell her that immigration offers are looking for them, the two agree to go into hiding, taking shelter in their basement until the crisis has passed. As the days go by and tensions rise, Nico begins to question their hosts’ true intentions.
