Yesterday, all eight episodes of The Consultant, the darkly comedic thriller based on the novel by Bentley Little, premiered on Prime Video. When their boss at the app-based gaming company CompWare is suddenly gone, Regis Patoff (Christopher Waltz) shows up having been hired to be the new consultant. Suddenly the employees are experiencing demands and challenges that makes them question everything and fear for their lives. 

Brittany O’Grady, who stars as Elaine, thought the project was “a dream” and was excited about the prospect right away. “I wanted to do something that kind of reflected maybe the world that people in my life experienced, like my family, my husband,” she told SciFi Vision. “Everybody works in a job that they kind of deal with the emotions under the surface, but this is kind of like a topsy turvy version of it. I was…just really excited to work with such an incredible cast, knowing who [was] going to be a part of it. I mean, to be able to work with these incredible young actors…it just makes my job easy. Then, being able to work with a veteran like Christoph Waltz was awesome. Our creators were incredible, just everything.”

Today, the dark comedic thriller, The Consultant, based on the novel by Bentley Little of the same name, comes to Prime Video. With their old boss gone, Regis Patoff (Christopher Waltz) is hired at the app-based gaming company, “Compware,” as the new consultant. The series follows the employees adjusting to their new sinister boss and the challenges that they face which could be deadly. 

In the series, Waltz plays a fantastically creepy character, but the actor doesn’t look at him as good or evil. “I don't evaluate the darkness or lightness of a character,” Waltz told SciFi Vision during a recent interview. “I just read the script and find what I can do, because a good script makes the character readable through behavior, and that's what what I'm there for.”

In tonight’s all-new episode of Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches, things come to a head for Tessa (Madison Wolfe), who has been captured by Keith and the group, and Lasher (Jack Huston) is nowhere to be found. 

Recently, the actress spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the series. She had been familiar with Anne Rice from the beginning, as she’s from New Orleans, which she feels helped her connect to the character and the family. ‘[H]er novels are kind of legendary around here, super popular throughout the city,” Wolfe told the site. “So, I did know about her stories and the whole Anne Rice universe, as they call it. So, when I got the audition, I was super stoked. It was so cool working on a project that in a way I had grown up hearing about.”

In Hallmark’s The Way Home, after teen Alice Dhawan (Sadie Laflamme-Snow) is expelled from school and her mother, Kat Landry (Chyler Leigh), loses her job, she uproots them to her estranged grandmother Del (Andie MacDowell)’s farm in Port Haven, Canada. After finding out that her father’s girlfriend has moved in with him, leaving her no place else to go, Alice runs off. She ends up at a pond on the family property, and angry, throws the bracelet that her father gave to her mother (which she regifted to her) into the water. Regretting it, she reaches for it and falls into the pond, only to be pulled out in 1999 by a teen girl she later finds out is her mother in the past.

The series takes place in both timelines as Alice befriends her mother in 1999 and learns more about why her family is fractured. 

Today, the new series Hello Tomorrow! premiered on Apple TV Plus. Set in a retro version of the future, the series follows Jack Billings (Billy Crudup), an ambitious traveling salesman, who along with coworkers Shirley (Haneefah Wood), Eddie (Hank Azaria), Herb (Dewshane Williams), and later, Joey (Nicholas Podany), sells lunar timeshares. His hope and faith in a brighter future inspires those he works with and brings in excited customers to BrightSide, but that hope could become dangerous. 

Azaria, Wood, and Williams recently spoke with SciFi Vision about the upcoming series, and one of the things they talked about was what first attracted them to the roles.

For Azaria it was about the humor in the character. “I liked how funny this guy is in the face of really nasty circumstances, often self-inflicted,” Azaria told SciFi Vision. “I'm always drawn to characters like that who are in a lot of pain and find a way to mask it with humor. This was a definite new twist on that for me.”

Today, Apple TV Plus premieres its new series, Hello Tomorrow! The series, which is set in a retro-future, centers around ambitious traveling salesman Jack Billings (Billy Crudup), who, along with his team, is selling timeshares from the moon. His faith in the future inspires his fellow BrightSide coworkers and excites their customers. However, Jack will learn that hope can be a very powerful thing, but it can also be very dangerous. 

According to Lucas Jansen, who along with Amit Bhalla created the series, the idea for it first came when producer Ryan Kalil showed them vintage training videos for salesmen from the 1950s. “They were full of these hokey reenactments,” he told SciFi Vision during a recent interview. “…They were so innocent and sort of inspiring in that way. They're just like a pure lucid encapsulation of this American Dream, that we work hard, and we sell each other things, and we all get happier. But at the same time, [it’s] also really eerie and grim, because these people are completely deluding themselves that they're not caught in the gears of this sort of hulking capitalist thing that’s going to maybe…[wring] all of the joy and humanity out of you. So, that paradox to us was inspiring. Like, what does the salesman tell themselves to make themselves a great salesman?”

Today, Hello Tomorrow! Premieres on Apple TV Plus. The series takes place in a retro-future world and centers around a group of traveling salesmen, led by Jack Billings (Billy Crudup), selling lunar timeshares. An ambitious salesman, Jack’s faith in the future inspires his coworkers and excites his customers, but hope can be a very dangerous thing. 

Star Crudup was drawn to the unique world of the series. “There's something so authentic and rich about Amit [Bhalla] and Lucas [Jansen]'s writing and about their creation of a very original but very familiar world,” the actor told SciFi Vision. “…I couldn't help but be intoxicated by it. I wanted to see and understand and live in the world that they had created on the page, and I couldn't imagine that I would ever get an opportunity like this in my career. So, it was an easy one to jump into for me.”

In the film Condor’s Nest, a decade after Nazi Germany has fallen, American pilot Will Spalding (Jacob Keohane) travels to South America to track down the Nazi Colonel who executed his crew during the war. During his travels he encounters bar owner Hipolito, played by Jorge Garcia. The actor recently spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, using an accent, how he lost his luggage right before filming, what he looks for in a script, his thoughts on returning for a Lost reunion, if he still is in contact with the cast, what it was like to have action figures, and much more. In the film Condor’s Nest, a decade after the fall of Nazi Germany, American pilot Will Spalding (Jacob Keohane) searches South America for the Nazi Colonel (Arnold Vosloo) who executed his crew during WWII. The film also stars Jackson Rathbone as Nazi Fritz Ziegler. Michael Jacobs has been an icon on TV and in movies for years. He has directed many television shows and movies, including Boy Meets World and The Torkelsons, bringing many generations fond childhood memories.

Now he is back and better than ever with a brand-new movie called Maybe I Do, starring William H. Macy, Susan Sarandon, and Diane Keaton. It is a twist on the typical romantic comedy and has been something that has been years in the making. He began working on it as a play and eventually decided to make it into a movie.

“It’s been gestating a long time, because it ran as a play,” Jacobs told SciFi Vision. “I had started writing this idea when I was about nineteen years old. I think I was in a relationship, and I had said, ‘I love you,’ and they said, ‘How do you just say that?’ It seems so simple for ‘I love you’ to come out of your mouth when you're a kid, and you don't know what you're talking about. I sat down, and I started to write this. It was a relationship comedy that was based on this young woman who thought that the relationship was farther down the road and was surprised to find out that her partner was reticent and then finds out that the reticence comes from the fact that we are offshoots of our upbringing. I wrote the idea, and it ran on Broadway.”
