Created by Stephen Merchant and Elgin James, Friday, Prime Video released season two of the crime thriller comedy series from the UK, The Outlaws. The series follows seven strangers working off a community service sentence in Bristol. The group discovered a bag of money in season one, and in season two they must work together to outwit a drug dealer after they are threatened.

Gamba Cole plays the role of Ben Eastfield. The actor recently talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview and teased a bit about where Ben is at this season. “Season two for [Ben] is about the discovery of himself and his dreams, [and] what he wants to do and never really got the opportunity to,” explained the actor, “because he was so fixated on looking after Esme (Aiyana Goodfellow) and making sure that she had opportunities and that she was able to do more than he was, but for him, now, he's allowed to be a little bit selfish, in a way, and he really wants to include Rani (Rhianne Barreto) in that.”

Tomorrow, Netflix premieres The Sandman, the highly-anticipated series based on the DC comic series written by Neil Gaiman of the same name. When we close our eyes and sleep, we enter the world of the Dreaming, where the Sandman (Tom Sturridge), aka Dream, gives life to both our fantasies and fears. When the Sandman is kidnapped and kept away from the Dreaming for a century, it starts to change both the dreaming and the waking world forever, and Dream must work to fix the chaos his absence has caused and mend both worlds before it’s too late. He receives help from multiple sources along the way, including the librarian of the Dreaming, Lucienne (Vivienne Acheampong).

Recently, during a roundtable interview, Sturridge and Acheampong talked to SciFi Vision about balancing what they pull from the extensive source material versus what they are able to add creatively.

“It's just so unusual when you're building a character or when you're embarking upon a job to have a bible that is over 2500 pages long that you can kind of really discover every fragment of who these characters are,” Sturridge told the site. “So, you have to begin there; that has to be your starting point in your foundation.

There television series Moonhaven takes place in the future and follows cargo pilot and smuggler Bella Sway (Emma McDonald) after she is stranded on the moon after being accused of murder. She, along with the help of Detective Paul Sarno (Dominic Monaghan) and his partner Arlo Noon (Kadeem Hardison), must not only clear her name, but also help stop a conspiracy surrounding the artificial intelligence IO, tech that is supposed be used to save her home planet of Earth.

Ayelet Zurer plays the role of Maite Voss, the political leader in the seemingly utopian Moonhaven. “She is a very unique character, because she's built from opposites,” said the actress about Maite during a recent interview with SciFi Vision. “She's wise, but she's naive. She's meticulous, but she's also intuitive, and she goes with her emotions and her instincts. She's spiritual, but she's grounded.”

An all-new episode of Moonhaven premieres today on AMC+. The series takes place in the future and follows Bella Sway (Emma McDonald), a cargo pilot and smuggler, who arrives in the lunar community of Moonhaven and is accused of murder and marooned on the moon. While there, she meets Detective Paul Sarno, played by Dominic Monaghan, and together they work to clear her name but also uncover a conspiracy surrounding the artificial intelligence that is said to be Earth’s savior.

Because of the way that everyone in Moonhaven has been brought up in the utopian community with the artificial intelligence running everything, Detective Sarno really hadn’t had to do regular police work before Bella arrived. “[H]is level of detective work on the moon is kind of helping old ladies across the street, that kind of community leader,” Monaghan explained to SciFi Vision during a recent interview. “Then, some very serious crimes and murders start to occur on the moon. So, you watch a guy kind of being a police officer for the first time and adopting a very idealistic kind of positive outlook on life and realizing that maybe everything is not entirely what he thinks it seems to be.”

It’s really interacting with Bella that changes his outlook on life when he realizes that things may not be what he thought they were. “I think Mooners, and certainly, Paul, [are] quite naive about humans,” said Monaghan. “He thinks that humans can be taken [at] face value, that they don't lie, that they're nice people at their core, that everybody wants to help everyone else, and that's what being a human means. I think [Bella] kind of reminds him that, that's not how it works on Earth and that people are out to get theirs and that people can be destructive and unkind for no particular reason, and you have to be a little bit more wily, let's say, if you're a detective trying to solve a set of very serious crimes on the moon. So, I think it's a learning experience for him.”

Moonhaven, which airs Thursdays on AMC+, takes place in the future and follows Bella Sway (Emma McDonald), a lunar pilot and smuggler, who after arriving on the moon in the idyllic town of Moonhaven, is accused of murder. Bella must work to clear her name while also trying to uncover the conspiracy surrounding the artificial intelligence that is Earth’s last hope.

The series is such a unique show. It was really the rich story that solidified Kadeem Hardison, who plays Detective Arlo, wanting to play the role. “Peter Ocko, our showrunner and creator, wrote an incredible script,” the actor told SciFi Vision. “Just the culture that we are living on in the moon, and to know that I'm third generation mooner…It was an easy choice for me to really go after this with both hands.”

Becoming Elizabeth, which stars Alicia von Rittberg in the title role, follows her teen years before becoming queen of England. To promote the series, which airs new episodes on Starz on Sundays, SciFi Vision talked to cast members Romola Garai, who plays Mary Tudor, Elizabeth’s sister, and Jamie Blackley, who plays Robert Dudley.

Being a period piece, Becoming Elizabeth has gorgeous and elaborate costumes, which really informs their characters, according to Garai. “The great thing about this period is that there are sort of certain things that the costumes really teach you, like, you can't dress yourself,” the actress told the site. “You couldn't then, and you can't now, so you're never alone. Your wealth and status become kind of like literal obstacles to you, because you're weighed down by this clothing, which means that you can't move; you can't go anywhere on your own. It would have been incredibly difficult to have any kind of personal freedom. I think that the costumes are always reminding you of that when you're wearing them as the actor…So, it's a useful kind of reminder of the life that they led.”

Recently, on Transplant, Dr. Bashir “Bash” Hamed, played by Hamza Haq, made a decision that resulted in a patient’s father, Ray Grisholm (David Eisner), filing a lawsuit against York Memorial Hospital. Grisholm’s legal team discovered that Dr. Bishop (John Hannah) does not have Bash’s original credentials from Syria and lied about talking to the dean of his school. They plan to use it against the hospital to win the case.

According to Haq, who spoke with SciFi Vision on Tuesday in an exclusive interview, although Bash doesn’t feel guilty for the choice, it does still affect the decisions he now makes. “I think Bashir can compartmentalize on that level, where he's just like, ‘I did the best that I could. I absolutely did the best that I could,’ ” said the actor. “He doesn't feel any guilt or feel shame about that, but I think he empathizes so deeply with people's circumstances that to know that something that he did affected someone's life so greatly, I think he just feels it as opposed to feeling guilty for it.

“...[T]his other superior, medical, authoritative figure in Dr. Grisholm, him coming by, exacerbates his anxiety and his tension and his need to save lives and do his best, that I think all of those manifest in not so much guilt, but in his desire to make things right...I think it does inform his decisions and his hesitations in future procedures. Like, I think there's a moment with June (Aisha Issa) and Theo (Jim Watson) where they come in, and they want to do some cowboy sort of scenario, but because it isn't by the book and protocol, I think he just hesitates a bit, because he just doesn't want to be on the hook again, and [have] somebody else getting involved, again, based on a decision that he makes.”

Recently Starz premiered Becoming Elizabeth, the story of Elizabeth Tudor as a teenager, long before she ascended to the throne of England. To promote the series, SciFi Vision talked to creator and executive producer Anya Reiss and executive producer George Ormond about bringing the story to life. The two were drawn to telling a different part of the history of Queen Elizabeth than has been done before.

“[When] Anya and I first started talking about it, when we first came across this part of the history, we just couldn't believe that it hadn't been explored before, because it's an extraordinary story,” Ormond explained. “Really, it's a roller coaster for Elizabeth, for her two siblings, Mary (Romola Garai) and Edward (Oliver Zetterström) and all the people around them, but it also felt like a really contemporary story that explores the relationship between Elizabeth and Thomas (Tom Cullen) and explores power and a really complicated relationship between a young woman who feels she's in control, but actually isn't really in control. It felt like...one of the things that really helped to make Elizabeth who we think of when we think of Elizabeth the icon.”

“I think that's what drew me to it,” agreed Reiss. “Every bit of the history we found out...suddenly all the things I knew about her made sense from this earlier story. So, that felt really exciting to kind of tell her story backwards, where it's all the things that happened to her that make her who she is.”

The series Moonhaven, which comes to AMC on Thursday, takes place 100 years in the future and follows Bella Sway, played by Emma McDonald, a cargot pilot who ends up stranded in the idyllic community of Moonhaven on the Moon after being accused of a crime.

McDonald loved everything about Bella right away. “She's so cool,” the actress told SciFi Vision during a recent exclusive interview. “She flies a spaceship. She's fantastic with her fists, with her mind. She's funny…There's not really anything that didn't draw me to her.”

At the beginning, Bella doesn’t fit in well with those on the Moon. “She fits in reluctantly,” explained McDonald. “In fact, she stands apart from the rest of the gang. She's an Earther. She has fought in many wars. She's a rebel. She's a bit of a loner, but she wouldn't describe herself in that way…She kind of watches from a distance.”

The actress did say, however, that Bella is “fiercely loyal” if she lets you into her inner circle, which is what happens when she teams up with the local detective, Paul Sarno (Dominic Monaghan), to find the truth, when she finds herself with a connection to a murder victim.

Epix has dropped season two of its hot romantic comedy Bridge and Tunnel.  It’s the summer of 1981 and Jimmy returns from Alaska to find the rest of the gang with one foot in Manhattan, the other back home on Long Island. All six episodes are available now on TV, on demand and online.

SciFi Vision recently sat down with the cast to talk about where their characters find themselves after a one-year time jump.  First up was Sam Vartholomeos (Star Trek: Discovery) and Caitlin Stasey (Reign), who play Long Island’s most frustrating couple, Jimmy and Jill.
