Tonight Syfy airs an all-new episode of Resident Alien. Recently on the series, Asta (Sara Tomko) killed a man to protect her alien friend Harry (Alan Tudyk), and she’s been dealing with the guilt. Can she forgive herself? “I think that that is going to be seen and felt by her for a little bit,” Tomko told SciFi Vision during an exclusive interview last week. “Forgiveness is so important, especially with self; that's one of the hardest things for us to do as humans is to forgive ourselves.”

Guilt and pain is part of being human, and in a recent episode, Harry took away Asta’s memory of the shooting to remove her pain without her permission, but a lot of it was selfish, because he didn’t like the way she was acting. He just didn’t comprehend what was happening, according to the actress. “I don't think he even understands what he did was wrong at all…I think he just wanted it to stop. I don't think he even thought twice about asking for permission consent or that she would be upset by it. In his mind, he did a good thing.”

She thinks, however, that it was innocent. “I don't think there was any malice or ill will,” said Tomko.

Recently the cast of Resident Alien was joined by Nicola Correia-Damude, as Detective Lena Torres, when she came to Patience to investigate the murder of the man whom Asta (Sara Tomko) killed to save Harry (Alan Tudyk). Corey Reynolds, who plays Sheriff Mike Thompson, and Elizabeth Bowen, who plays Deputy Liv Baker, recently talked to SciFi Vision during a roundtable about how Torres' arrival in the town has upset the status quo between the two characters. “I think she comes in no holds barred, business as usual,” said Bowen of Torres. “Whether she is just oblivious to it or she just doesn't care, she completely upsets the apple cart between the two of us, and I don't even think…Sheriff Mike realizes how much she's upset the applecart. He's just thinking more I think about his reaction to her, like, ‘Who is this person?’ Whereas Liv is like, ‘No one's paying attention to me. No one's listening to me. Everyone's forgetting about me.’ I mean, you'll literally see sometimes where they actually forget she's even in the room with them, and that is incredibly upsetting to poor Liv.”

Reynolds felt the same. “I think in a lot of ways Mike meets his match,” added the actor. “Deputy Liv is his match in one way, but she's more flies with honey than detective Torres…I think in some ways, she sees herself very similar to I think how he sees himself, except I don't think she has the insecurities that Mike has. I think she's presenting as competent as she actually is.”

Recently the third and final season of Locke & Key premiered on Netflix and star Aaron Ashmore, who plays Duncan, spoke with SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview.

This season is lighter for Duncan. “He's planning his wedding,” he explained to SciFi Vision. “He's going to get married. At this point, I think, in the story, everything sort of settled down, and Tyler (Connor Jessup) is off kind of finding himself, but things have settled down and life is moving on. I think Duncan's very happy to have Brian (Milton Barnes) back and very happy to be getting married after all the craziness that happened in season two.”

Ashmore also talked about what he himself got out of working on the series. “Much like a lot of the other shows that I really enjoyed working on, I love the family element to it,” said the actor. “Obviously, there is literally a family with the Lockes, but also all of the other characters, how they all band together…how everybody sort of works together in this common goal…The shows that I work on and things that I like, that's usually what it comes down to are these amazing [characters] working together, but also the people that sort of bring it all together. That's what I would say I enjoyed the most out of it.”

The Sandman, based on the comics series written by Neil Gaiman, recently premiered on Netflix and follows the Sandman (Tom Sturridge), aka Dream, who rules over the realm of Dreaming.  After being captured for a century, both his realm and the real world become damaged, and he must go on a quest to recover what was stolen from him and mend both worlds. During his quest he meets Rose Walker (Vanesu Samunyai), who has a connection to him that neither of them can escape.

John Cameron Mitchell plays the part of Hal Carter, the drag queen who dreams of being a star on Broadway, but currently runs a B&B, which is where he meets and mentors Rose. Mitchell recently talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about working on the series.

The actor had actually worked with Gaiman before becoming involved with the series. “Neil and I are friends,” said Mitchell, “and I adapted one of his stories for film, How to Talk to Girls at Parties, so [Hal] was a kind of instant offer, which was very nice to have.”

Mitchell said that he is excited to watch full series and talk to Gaiman about it. “I really had a blast…I haven't talked to Neil yet, because I just want to wait until I finish it, but he must be very proud, because he's had a lot of things adapted of his work, and…this one he had a lot of control over, and I think he would be very happy.”

Collide is a brand new movie that was just released, and it is already causing a lot of buzz. With huge names such as Jim Gaffigan and Drea de Matteo, the acting is top notch, and the story leaves viewers on the edge of their seats wanting more.

De Matteo, who plays Gaffigan’s wife in the movie, takes on quite a different role than we are used to seeing her in, and does amazing.

“I am somewhat of his antagonist to a degree,” she said in our recent interview. “My character's going through her own set of circumstances, but because of my midlife crisis, and my selfishness, I hurt the person that is the closest to me.”

Today Jurassic World Dominion comes to 4K Ultra HD, Blu-ray, DVD, and Digital HD.

The third and final film in the Jurassic World trilogy, and the sixth in the overall Jurassic Park franchise, the film picks up four years after the events of Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom where dinosaurs freely roam the earth, living among humans. The story follows Owen Grady (Chris Pratt) and Claire Dearing (Bryce Dallas Howard), who now are secretly raising Maisie Lockwood (Isabella Sermon), the clone/daughter of Charlotte Lockwood (daughter of John Hammond’s partner Benjamin Lockwood) as their own daughter in a cabin in the Sierra Nevada Mountains, keeping her safe from all that would want to exploit her. When mercenaries capture her and Velociraptor Blue’s baby, Claire and Owen must work to save her.

Meanwhile in Texas, Dr. Ellie Sattler (Laura Dern), from the original film franchise, has been tracking swarms of giant locusts that are wreaking havoc on crops, putting the food supply of the entire country in danger. Discovering that the company Biosyn is involved, she brings in Dr. Alan Grant (Sam Neill) to help her infiltrate the sanctuary to find proof. They enlist help of Dr. Ian Malcolm (Jeff Goldblum), who now works for Biosyn, rounding out the trio from the original films’ cast.

The Shudder Original, What Josiah Saw, which premiered on the streaming network earlier in the month, tells the story of a family at their farmhouse who confront long-buried secrets that have damaged their family. The film stars Scott Haze (Jurassic World Dominion, Venom) as Thomas Graham, who recently spoke with SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview.

The actor was attracted to the story from the beginning. “I read the script eight years ago, and I liked it so much because of how bold it was that I came on board,” Haze told the site.

He also told SciFi Vision that he was involved behind the scenes as well, and had been for quite some time. “I helped put the film together alongside Vincent Grashaw,” said the actor. “That's why I'm an EP on the film, as I helped secure a lot of the financing for the film. So, I was very adamant about continuing forth in the journey. Obviously, it's been seven years. We had a lot of different obstacles that we had to face in getting this movie made, but Vincent never gave up; I never gave up, and here we are seven years later, and it's pretty cool.”

Last Tuesday was the first live show for NBC’s America’s Got Talent, and eleven acts performed, with two being voted to the next round. The two were revealed on Wednesday that were moving forward. The first lucky performer moving forward was revealed to be Drake Milligan, the country music singer from Fort Worth Texas, whose audition song, the original “Sounds Like Something I’d Do,” soared to #1 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart, and the video hit #1 on the iTunes Country Video Chart. The other artist to move on was saxophone player from Atlanta, Georgia, Avery Dixon, who was previously awarded the Golden Buzzer by Terry Crews.

The film Fall from Lionsgate, which was recently released in theaters,tells the story of best friends Becky (Grace Caroline Currey) and Hunter (Virginia Gardner) who are stranded after climbing to the top of an abandoned two-thousand-foot radio tower.

The idea for the film, according to director and co-writer Scott Mann, who spoke to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview, came from a fear of heights. “Myself and cowriter Johnathan [Frank] were actually on a shoot on top of a football (ie soccer) stadium of all places for a film we were shooting in London,” said the director, referencing his film that is now on Netflix, Final Score. “I remember, we were just aware of being on this small space at a real height with a sheer drop, and just the kind of fear of that, and how there's something in that more than just a gag or a stunt. I mean, it felt like there was more to be had, with this fear of heights or fear of falling thing…I do think there is an inner kind of fear in all of us about height. It's a very universal fear that we have. So, it was trying to use that as the core of the whole film and build a whole film around it and really use that to its maximum kind of different tones, the different palette of fun you could have. So, that was what it started at. I guess that and the combination of wanting to do something that really used film theater for what it's supposed to be used for and really kind of stand out in that environment and immerse you in that environment. So, that kind of fed through it too.” Mann added that they wanted the experience to feel more like a theme park ride.

Recently, Netflix premiered the highly-anticipated series The Sandman, based on the comics written by Neil Gaiman of the same name. The series follows the Sandman, aka Dream, who rules the Dreaming realm. When Dream is captured for a century, it not only affects his world, but the waking world as well. Dream must go on a quest to return what was stolen from him and repair the two worlds.

While visiting with his sister, Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), in 1389, they overhear a man in the tavern, Hob Gadling (Ferdinand Kingsley), declare that he will never die, because he chooses not to. Intrigued, Death grants him immortality. Dream tells Hob to meet him in one hundred years. Every century the two men meet in a pub to discuss what Hob continues to live for.

Kingsley recently talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about his time working on the series.

The actor was already familiar with the comic series when he took on the role. “I've got an older brother who is a huge fan, was a huge Sandman fan when he was a teenager, when we were growing up. He's six years older than me, so from when I was about nine or ten onwards, it was sort of always around,” Kingsley told the site.
