SciFi Vision - Where Fiction and Reality Meet

Exclusive Video Interview: Kevin Pollak & Caroline Aaron Talk The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel

The Marvelous Mrs. MaiselThe Marvelous Mrs. Maisel is sadly coming to an end, but the memories will live on forever, especially for the cast. Each and every one of them has had amazing moments on the show, both on and off camera.

“There is no favorite singular moment for me,” Kevin Pollak said in a recent interview with SciFi Vision. “[There are] too many, from being on the phone call with Amy and Dan in the very beginning and them explaining what they thought their show [was] going to be and what it might mean to me to be a part of it, to reading the first script, to being on the set with these actors for the first time, to seeing Bill's production design and Donna's wardrobe and David Mullen’s cinematography and Jim McConkey with his incredible Steadicam work, and every department head is insanely talented. These actors are ridiculous and also beautiful people. So, [if there’s] one moment you're looking for, it’s been six years of heaven, and damnit if some people think it's over. I don’t.”

Caroline Aaron echoes his sentiments but adds that a certain drive through the Catskills will always remain on her mind.

Exclusive Video Interview: Single Drunk Female Costars Dish on Season Two

Single Drunk FemaleFreeform’s Single Drunk Female may be a comedy, but it always reminds us that getting sober is a serious and sometimes selfish business. Last season, Sam (Sofia Black-D'Elia) had to really focus on herself and learn to avoid the people and situations that triggered her drinking, which wasn’t too hard for someone as naturally self-absorbed as Sam.

But last week’s season premiere finds Sam with 18 months of sobriety under her belt, a feeling like she has a life worth celebrating. She’s starting to think outside herself and rebuild healthy relationships. This is great news for viewers, as Sam takes more of an interest in other people, and we get to see more of her friends and family.

SciFi Vision recently got the lowdown on season two from costars stars Sasha Compère (Love Life, Miracle Workers), Lily Mae Harrington (Some Freaks, Room 104) and Garrick Bernard (best known as a standup comedian and writer for Star Trek: Lower Decks).

Exclusive Video Interview: Single White Female's Ian Gomez

Ian GomezFans of Freeform’s hit comedy Single Drunk Female have waited a year to find out what happened after that wild season finale. Quick recap: Sam (Sofia Black-D’Elia, The Mick) completed probation, James (Garrick Bernard, Quinta vs. Everything) relapsed, and Britt (Sasha Compere, Love Life)'s wedding night did not go as planned. Well, the wait is over! Season two premieres tonight at 10 pm EDT/PDT, with new episodes weekly. And for all the streamers out there, the entire 10-episode season is available on Hulu tomorrow.

As the season opens, Sam’s got a year and a half of sobriety under her belt. She’s working a steady job and still living at home with her mom. Ian Gomez (Cougar Town) has been elevated to series regular, which means we’re going to see more of Bob this season. He has moved into the house with Carol (Ally Sheedy) and Sam, and he’s trying to find his place in their family. Last week, we caught up with Gomez and asked him what’s in store for the trio.

“Bob has moved into the house with Carol,” Gomez told us, “but not really, actually moved in. Carol's very particular, and so basically, he's living in the garage. He sleeps in the house, but all of his stuff is in the garage. He's starting his business again, of being a personal trainer, and that's taking place in the garage as well. So, he's kind of moved in [but] Carol's not really having it that much.”

Exclusive: Star Trek: Picard’s Ashlei Sharpe-Chestnut Has Two Words for Fans: “Buckle Up!”

Ashlei Sharpe-ChestnutWhile the third and final season of Star Trek: Picard is all about saying goodbye to the Next Generation crew, it has also introduced the literal next generation of characters. Jack Crusher and the La Forge sisters, Sidney and Alandra.  This week, SciFi Vision caught up with the woman who brings Sidney to life, actress Ashlei Sharpe-Chestnut (NCIS: Los Angeles, Cruel Summer).

Our first order of business was recapping events on the Titan. Sidney’s relationship with Jack (Ed Speelers, Outlander) has been a highlight of the season and fans are here for a romance. In fact, shippers have given the potential couple a name: LaCrush.  But the course of true love never did run smooth, and these two have serious issues to overcome.

In last week’s episode (307, “Dominion”), Jack not only read Sidney’s mind, he took control of her body, and Sidney was understandably freaked out.  Sharpe-Chestnut broke down Sidney’s reaction.

“They had the flirtation vibes [and] she’s trying to lean into this, but after that, she's a little scared,” Sharpe-Chestnut explained. “You see the moment where…she puts the phaser on him. I think she likes the guy, but she's terrified after seeing this dead changeling who looked just like her. It's hard for Sidney to really trust anyone on the ship in this specific moment.”

Video Interview: Rabbit Hole's Charles Dance & Meta Golding on the Importance of Trust & More

Rabbit HoleThe first two of eight episodes of Rabbit Hole premiere today on Paramount Plus. The series follows John Weir (Kiefer Sutherland), a master of deception who works in the world of corporate espionage. Suddenly his world is upended when he is framed for murder by forces who can influence the masses. The series also stars Charles Dance as Ben Wilson and Meta Golding as Hailey Winton, both of who recently spoke with the press about their work on the series.

In a show where nothing is what it seems, trust becomes very important between characters. “I think that that's one of the big themes of the show, who and what can you trust?” Golding told SciFi Vision. “Who can you trust on a big scale? Our government, our data, or cell phones? Then, who can you trust on a personal level? I mean, our two characters start off pretty much hating each other, but then we kind of need to survive…It's that constant thing that we're constantly playing with, like who [and] what do you trust? What is real? Because even if you think about it, it takes a long time to get to know someone, let alone people who are used to always manipulating situations or words. We're all excellent liars in the show. Then, we kind of band together. So, it makes for interesting dynamics.”
