Video Interview: Alice Braga on the Final Season of Queen of the South

Queen of the SouthQueen of the South returns tomorrow to USA with all-new episodes of the fifth and final season. The series, which is an adaption of the novel of the same name by Arturo Pérez-Reverte, follows Teresa Mendoza, played by series star Alice Braga, the girlfriend of a drug dealer who eventually moves up in the business to build her own drug empire.

Braga recently talked to SciFi Vision and other journalists during a junket for the series where she discussed her favorite parts of Teresa, how her character has changed this season, Teresa’s relationship with James (Peter Gadiot), and more.

The actress told SciFi Vision that Teresa is an inspiration, because she is a survivor, even if she is an antihero. “I think even though it's a character that is an antihero, because she's a drug dealer, and it's kind of on a thin line, I think she's the curing of her own life. She's a survivor. She's someone that was a girlfriend to a drug dealer, a naive girl from a small town in Mexico, and then, suddenly, her life completely [changes] when her phone rings and they say, ‘Run.’

Video Interview: Milo Ventimiglia Talks NBC’s This is Us

Milo VentimigliaRecently, the hit series, This is Us, returned to NBC with all-new episodes. The series follows the lives of three siblings, Kevin (Justin Hartley), Kate (Chrissy Metz), and Randall (Sterling K. Brown) and their parents, Jack, played by Milo Ventimiglia, and Kate (Mandy Moore). The show is told during the siblings adult lives, but also takes place in flashbacks from when they were younger, as their father was killed when the children were teenagers.

Star Ventimiglia recently talked to SciFi Vision and other journalists during a junket promoting the series about working on the show, his inspirations, who he would love to have scenes with, and more.

Ventimiglia talked to SciFi Vision about his inspiration for Jack. “[It was] two people very close to me: my father and a kid I grew up with who still remains one of my closest friends, my buddy Aaron. He's a dad, and he just reminds me of the dad that's always chasing time with his kids. My father was very much like that, and when I play Jack with the twelve-year-olds, I remember back to my dad coming and going from work in a tie, showing up to sporting events, really doing his best as a father to make sure he was giving us what we needed to hear, to grow and to hopefully be good people. But beyond that, I know, my dad, there were moments where it's like I personally just didn't want to disappoint him, because he was such a larger than life character to me. Then, I see the same thing with my friend Aaron, with the way he raises his kids, and he just wants time with his kids, which I know is a huge thing for Jack. It's all he's ever wanted.

Video Interview: Melissa Roxburgh and Matt Long Talk Manifest, Returning Tonight

Melissa Roxburgh and Matt LongManifest, which premieres its third season tonight on NBC, follows a group of passengers of who return home to discover it is over five years in the future, and they have been presumed dead. Soon the passengers start having what are called “Callings,” or guiding visions and voices that help them predict the future and lead them into a deep mystery and often danger.

Stars Melissa Roxburgh, who plays Michaela Stone, and Matt Long, who plays Zeke Landon, recently talked to SciFi Vision and other journalists about season three and even teased the shocking finale.

At the end of season two, the tail fin of Flight 828 was recovered from the ocean near Cuba – the tail of the same plane which returned with the missing passengers. This mystery will play a big part in season three. Because of the recovery, the passengers find out there is a lot more going on than they first thought. Roxburgh told SciFi Vision, “I think even for the passengers, in finding that tail fin, it's terrifying, because why is it underwater? What does that mean for us? So, not only for just society viewing the passengers, but for the passengers themselves, it's not a simple thing to discover, because where's the rest of the plane then? Where are we?”

Video Interview: Creator Jeff Rake & Star Parveen Kaur Talk Manifest Season 3 & Beyond

Jeff Rake and Parveen KaurThursday, April 1stManifest, created by Jeff Rake, returns to NBC with all new episodes for season three. The series follows the passengers of Flight 828, who after being presumed dead, return home and find it to be five-and-a-half-years in the future, though to them, no time has passed. The passengers not only have to learn to fit into a world where their family and friends have aged and some move on, but they start to experience voices and visions called “callings” that lead them into danger and mystery.

Rake and Parveen Kaur, who stars as Saanvi Bahl, recently talked to journalists during a junket promoting the series that SciFi Vision took part in about their work on the series and what fans can expect in season three and beyond.

Video Interview: Melanie Scrofano and Tim Rozon Talk Wynonna Earp

Tim Rozon and Melanie ScrofanoWynonna Earp follows Wyatt Earp’s great granddaughter as she fights demons and other creatures. The series is currently in its fourth and final season.

In preparation for the last few episode of series, which continues tonight on Syfy, Melanie Scrofano, who stars as the title character, and Tim Rozon, who stars as Doc Holliday, talked to journalists during a junket earlier in the week and teased a bit about what’s to come.

SciFi Vision asked the actors if fans will get anything more on their daughter, Alice, before the end of the series. They couldn’t really say much, but according to Scrofano, “Alice is always there in spirit, so everything Doc and Wynonna do, she is with them. I think she is the layer that is always there even if you can't see her, which kind of heightens Doc and Wynonna's relationship to a place that, for me, is so touching, because they're bonded forever by this beautiful little spirit. So, she's always with them.” The actress then joked to just “picture somebody who looks like both of us.”

Video Interview: Andrew Leeds and Alice Lee Talk Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist, Returning Sunday

Andrew Leeds and Alice LeeNBC’s hit series, Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, returns Sunday with all-new episodes. The musical comedy-drama follows software engineer Zoey Clarke (Jane Levy) who last season discovered she had the unique ability to hear what people are thinking as songs. During the episodes the cast will suddenly break into song and choreographed dance numbers.Andrew Leeds plays the part of Zoey’s older brother, David. Alice Lee plays his wife, who recently gave birth to their child.

Earlier in the week, Leeds and Lee talked to journalists during a junket and teased a bit of what’s to come for their characters.

In the upcoming episode of the series, David joins a band with Zoey’s neighbor, which is really important to the character. Lee told SciFi Vision that Emily supports him. “Emily obviously supports his decision to not work, and she actually digs it, I think. I think she's a little groupie, and she thinks it's hot that her husband's in a band…It’s kind of a funny twist.”

Advance Review: The Irregulars, Not the Sherlock You Know

The IrregularsThe Irregulars, which premieres the 8-episode season tomorrow on Netflix, follows a group of rag-tag teens in Victorian London. Orphan Bea (Thaddeus Graham), who takes care of not only her sister, Jessie (Darci Shaw), who tries to cope with terrible nightmares and sleepwalking, but also struggles to find ways to keep them and their friends Billy (Jojo Macari) and Spike (McKell David) fed and a roof over their head, often stealing so they don’t go hungry.

In the pilot, sleepwalking causes Jessie to almost get hit by a carriage carrying Leopold (Harrison Osterfield), a rich and privileged sickly teen who knows not of the outside world. When Bea comes to save her sister, he is fascinated by her and later sneaks out of his home to befriend the teens.

Later visiting her sister’s grave, Bea meets Dr. John Watson (Royce Pierreson), who offers her money if she and her friends, knowing the streets and having access to the more unsavory parts of London, will help him track down someone for a case he’s working on with the police. Thus begins the partnership of the teens working for the mysterious doctor at 221b Baker Street, who they later discover has a partner, Sherlock Holmes (Henry Lloyd-Hughes), who Watson goes to lengths to keep them away from.

Video Interview: Corey Reynolds Talks Resident Alien

Corey ReynoldsTonight, the newest episode of Resident Alien premiered on Syfy. The comedy series follows an alien (Alan Tudyk), who crash lands on earth and kills Harry Vanderspeigle, who is hired as the interim town doctor after the original is murdered. Taking his place, Harry poses as human until he can find his ship and equipment and destroy the Earth. Along the way, Harry ingratiates himself with the people of the small town in Patience, Colorado and starts to learn what it’s like to be human.

Corey Reynolds stars as Sheriff Mike Thompson. He is a no-nonsense sheriff, who, along with his deputy, Liv Baker (Elizabeth Bowen), has spent the season trying to find out who killed the original town doctor.

Yesterday, Reynolds talked to journalists during a junket about working on the series, what’s coming for his character, and more.

Reynolds talked to SciFi Vision about a scene from tonight’s episode, where Sheriff Mike came to Deputy Liv during karaoke and sang to her, trying to make up for how horribly he treated her and for not giving her credit for finding the doctor’s murderer.

“Chris [Sheridan] was really good at utilizing our talents, if you have any special abilities, similar with [my] beatboxing. He knew that I have a musical history. He had talked about, early on, wanting to get singing somehow plugged into the season. We didn't know exactly how it was going to go at the time.

For All MankindLast week's episode of For All Mankind was all about keeping secrets. Dani (Krys Marshall) leveraged her lie into a command position but for now, Molly (Sonya Walger) and Ellen (Jodi Balfour) are keeping up appearances. Worse, both are forced to watch men get away with things the women never could. Ellen is still hiding her sexuality in the hope of getting to Mars while husband Larry (Nate Corddry) enjoys his post-NASA freedom. Meanwhile, Molly takes over as head of the Astronaut Office knowing she can never capitalize on the position the way Ed (Joel Kinnaman) has.
