Chris Hardwick References Removed from Nerdist Website in Wake of Chloe Dykstra's Abuse Allegations

Late last night, a blog post on Medium entitled “Rose-Colored Glasses: A Confession,” was made by actress and cosplayer Chloe Dykstra, detailing an abusive three-year relationship with her ex-boyfriend, stating that he was not only controlling and alienated her from her friends, but went so far as to derail her career following their breakup. Though she didn’t name names, it was quite clearly about Talking Dead host Chris Hardwick.

Following the social media blowup, Legendary Entertainment removed all mentions Hardwick from the Nerdist websites, including reference to him being the founder of the company, “pending further investigation.” The former CEO sold Nerdist Industries to Legendary back in 2012.

A spokesperson from Lengendary said in an official statement today, “Chris Hardwick had no operational involvement with Nerdist for the two years preceding the expiration of his contract in December 2017. He no longer has any affiliation with Legendary Digital Networks.

“The company has removed all reference to Mr. Hardwick even as the original Founder of Nerdist pending further investigation.”
