Michael Ealy Stars in "Common Law"

Michael EalyOn May 11th USA will premiere its new original series Common Law. The series follows two detectives, Travis Marks, played by Michael Ealy, and Wes Mitchell (Warren Kole), whose problems are each other. The two constantly bicker and try to outdo the other, and it ends up causing problems at work. Instead of firing the two, their boss decides it's time to intervene by forcing them into couples' therapy. LAPD's best must learn to get along if they want to keep working cases in the robbery-homicide division.

Michael Ealy is probably best known for his breakout role in Barbershop and its sequel, as well as starring in the film Think Like a Man, which is currently number one at the box office.

Izzard, Halmi Sr., & Vitale Talk "Treasure Island"

Treasure IslandSyfy's newest miniseries, a new adaptation of Treasure Island, will premiere in a special one night movie event on May 5th from 7-11PM (ET/PT). The film is a fresh take on Robert Louis Stevenson's classic adventure, featuring an all-star cast, including Eddie Izzard as Long John Silver, Elijah Wood as Ben Gunn, and Donald Sutherland as Flint.

Izzard, along with the executive producer of the film, Robert Halmi Sr. and Thomas Vitale, Syfy executive and Vice President, Programming and Original Movies, talked to the media recently about the upcoming miniseries.

Mitch Pileggi & Eric Cerra Star in Space Twister on Syfy

Space TwisterMitch Pileggi is probably best known to fans for his role as Assistant Director Walter Skinner in the popular The X-Files, but has appeared on television in a variety of roles, including Stargate Atlantis, Sons of Anarchy, Supernatural, and will be appearing on the upcoming Dallas.

Erica Cerra currently plays Jo Lupo on the Syfy hit Eureka. She has also appeared in series such as Battlestar Galactica, Warehouse 13, and Smallville. She will be starring in the upcoming television movie The Wishing Tree as well.

Both star in the new Syfy Saturday movie, Space Twister. In the film, storms similar to ones on Jupiter begin wreaking havoc and destroying the planet. A student's science project seems to be the only key to ending the storms and saving the world. The two actors recently talked to the media about the film.

Colton DixonLast week Colton Dixon was the latest contestant to be voted off of American Idol, to the shock of many. The singer from Tennessee originally auditioned in season ten for the show, but did not end up in the Top 24. This year Dixon made it to the Top 7 and will be joining the other Idols on tour this summer.

Dixon recently talked to the media about his time on Idol and his plans for the future.

Jaleel White Hosts Syfy's "Total Blackout" Starting Tonight

Jaleel WhiteSyfy's newest reality competition, the international hit, Total Blackout, starts tonight. Total Blackout is a half-hour game show where contestants perform challenges in complete darkness. Using all their senses but sight, contestants must complete tasks. Some may be physical challenges, where others are about identifying things with their other senses. People don't realize how scary the unknown can be in the dark, or for the audience, how funny.

The series is hosted by Jaleel White (Family Matters; Dancing with the Stars), and premieres tonight on Syfy.

Stephen Lang Guest Stars on "In Plain Sight"

Stephen LangStephan Lang has a long body of work, but is probably best known on film for his role in the blockbuster movie, Avatar, and in televsion for his part on the series Terra Nova. Tonight Lang will take on the role of father, in USA Network's In Plain Sight.

Lang plays James Wiley Shannon, Mary Shannon's father, who left when she was just a child and has been on the run from the law ever since.

She struggles to not take sides between the Light Fae and the Dark Fae as she learns who she is and how to control her powers. She is helped by a detective and shifter, who is also her friend and often love interest, Dyson, played by Kris Holden-Ried, as well as best friend Kenzi (Ksenia Solo), human doctor, Lauren (Zoie Palmer).

Ferguson & Paglia Discuss "Eureka's" Final Season

EurekaEureka, which is currently Syfy's longest running scripted series, will be returning for its fifth and final season Monday, April 16 at 9:00 PM ET/PT.

The series revolves around a Pacific Northwest town which is not what it appears to be. The town is actually a secret community of geniuses conducting top-secret research for the government, always contending with the chaos of strange events, often caused by said research.

The show, created by Jaime Paglia and Andrew Cosby, stars Coli Ferguson as Sheriff Jack Carter, Salli Richardson-Whitfield as Allison Blake, Joe Morton as Henry Deacon, Erica Cerra as Jo Lupo, Neil Grayston as Douglas Fargo, and Niall Matter as Zane Donovan. The series also boasts great guest stars this year as well. Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day, and Ming Na will be returning.

The season will consist of 13 all-new episodes and will pick up where we last left off with the Astraeus and crew having vanished just before their planned launch to Titan.
