Note from the editor: I have included interviews under exclusive if they are private or one-on-one or in person interviews. These were not part of press conference calls or group discussions. These are exclusives that are currently published here at SciFi Vision or as part of one of SciFi Vision's own podcasts, or in some early cases at Media Blvd. Magazine.

I also have chosen to include some interviews from press events that are only open to a select few and not the general press or public, such as convention press rooms and everything from the Syfy Digital Press Tours, set tours, etc. as although they are not entirely exclusive, they do contain exclusive photos and sometimes videos that no other site has (I have started to mark some of these as "Spotlight" as opposed to "Exclusive, but they still remain in this category"), or may be about my own experiences only at the events. Note that in a few specific cases, the set tours were exclusive and specifically for SciFi Vision.

All of the articles unless otherwise noted were written by me, Jamie Ruby, and are copyright © 2017 Sci-Fi Vision. If you would like to post an article on your own site, please let us know first. Please do not use any of the exclusive photos or videos on your own site without permission (it will usually be given). You can find the rest of our published articles, including both interviews and reviews under articles.

Exclusive Video: Jack Kenny on the Warehouse 13 Set Talks About the Pyka Kiss

Warehouse 13The executive producer of Warehouse 13 Jack Kenny talked to SciFi Vision during a set visit last August. While talking about the finale, he specifically talked about the kiss between Pete (Eddie McClintock) and Myka (Joanne Kelly). "It's not as you'd expect it would be, and it's you know, it's inevitable, yet still surprising I think. I think it's both inevitable and surprising, and I think it's lovely and warm, and I think it's incredibly satisfying in a way that isn't schmaltzy or overwrought or expected; it's just very satisfying. You go "Awe. Of course, of course. Now it's right; now everything is right."

"And yet their relationship doesn't really change. They maintain their same sort of attitude about each other - it's very Beatrice and Benedict. It's Tracy and Hepburn. It's all the great old couples through all of time who you know should end up together and despite the fact that...I think it's very satisfying. I think the fans will be pleased and satisfied, yet still surprised by it, because it's surprising."

Exclusive: Jack Kenny on the Warehouse 13 Finale

Exclusive Interview with Jack Kenny for Warehouse 13
Interview by Jamie Ruby
Written by Jamie Ruby

Jack KennySyfy's popular series Warehouse 13 closed its doors tonight. Recently the executive producer, Jack Kenny, sat down with Jamie Ruby in an exclusive interview to talk about the finale.

One of the things Kenny talked about breaking the stories of the season when they received the news that they would only get six episodes, and how they decided on the finale. "We had already broken I guess about ten episodes by the time we finally got the word whether we were picked up at all. We were in there pitching episodes trying to get them to pick us up, and I actually think pitching them the telenovela episode ("Savage Seduction") was one of the reasons they gave us six instead of just canceling us or whatever. They were very excited about that, the idea of a telenovela episode, so that helped.

"But we had I guess a total of about ten stories when we got the word. I didn't want to end the series on another 'oh, the world's going to blow up and we have to save it' episode. We'd done that; we'd done it three times: saved the world, or the warehouse, or both. And so the way we were arcing out the season with Benedict Valda (Mark Sheppard) and stuff, we thought, 'We can wrap that up in episode five. Let's use episode five as our penultimate and make that the warehouse episode where they save the world.'

Exclusive: John-Paul Nickel on the Warehouse 13 Finale

Exclusive Interview with John-Paul Nickel for Warehouse 13 on April 17, 2014
Interview with Jamie Ruby
Written by Jamie Ruby

John-Paul NickelTo many fans' dismay, Warehouse 13 unfortunately reached its end last night on Syfy. The writer of the series finale, John-Paul Nickel, who also wrote the episodes "The Greatest Gift" and "The Big Snag," recently talked to Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about working on the episode.

In the series finale, fans got to see the characters' defining moments. Nickel had some of his own from the show to share. "I started as a fan of the show, not on it in any way, and then I got hired as the writers' PA, so I went from fan, to coffee bitch, to guy who wrote the series finale...I kind of have a few defining moments. The first is, Jack gave me the second Christmas episode ("The Greatest Gift") to write, and the fact that I got to write not just like a freelance staff, not just any episode in the series, but the Christmas special. And there were extenuating time circumstances involved with that, so to be able to write quickly and still be treated like a writer on the staff, and to be given that chance to actually sit down and write the story and be welcomed aboard, and write and do rewrites, and then go up and shoot, just like I was any writer, to me that was amazing.

Exclusive: On the Set of Warehouse 13 - Aaron Ashmore

Exclusive Interview with Aaron Ashmore on the set of Warehouse 13 in Toronto on August 23, 2013.

By Jamie Ruby

Aaron AshmoreTonight a great show comes to an end as Syfy airs the final episode of Warehouse 13. Last August Aaron Ashmore talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about the final season.

Ashmore first joined the cast of Warehouse 13 in season three. The actor talked about how Steve's journey has changed this season now that he has been a part of the warehouse for a while. "I think it's a transition. I mean, the other characters have had two years up on Steve, so he was jumping into this thing. They'd already been together, so I think definitely before the season Steve had found his place at the warehouse, had built up connections with the characters, and became more comfortable with himself, and with the warehouse.

"And I mean, it's a continuation. I think by this point Steve is part of the warehouse and he's come to terms that this is his family; this is his home. So there's less of sort of that development and finding like 'do I belong here?' I mean, I think he's kind of discovered that by the end of the fourth season.

Exclusive: On the Set of Warehouse 13 - Jack Kenny

Exclusive Interview with Jack Kenny on the Set of Warehouse 13 in Toronto on August 23, 2013.
By Jamie Ruby

Jack KennyMonday Syfy's popular series Warehouse 13 comes to a close. In August the executive producer, Jack Kenny, talked to SciFi Vision during a set visit about the final season.

Kenny talked about some of the things that have been stuffed into the final six episodes. "There're like a thousand new things. Pete (Eddie McClintock), Myka (Joanne Kelly), and Artie (Saul Rubinek) fall into a telenovela, and they all speak Spanish. [We have] Anthony Head as Paracelsus; we see Hugo (Rene Auberjonois) and Vanessa (Lindsay Wagner) again. Pete and Steve (Aaron Ashmore) end up at a Renaissance fair. We meet Claudia (Allison Scagliotti)'s sister (Cryssie Whitehead) and help her.

"And then there's one final big threat to the warehouse, one last hurrah, where somebody comes at us in a bad way. We have a surprising big bad...We discover him in episode one in an alternate universe; it's very interesting. And then the finale, which is six episodes rolled into one."

By Jamie Ruby

Eddie McClintockIn August, SciFi Vision had the opportunity to visit the Warehouse 13 set and talk to the stars of the show. Eddie McClintock, who plays Pete Lattimer, sat down with SciFi Vision for an exclusive interview about the final season.

There is quite a bit coming up this year jammed into the final six episodes. Episode four is called "Savage Seduction." "Pete and Artie and Myka get trapped in a telenovela, so we had to take Spanish lessons for about two months so that I could speak Spanish fluently for that episode."

Exclusive: On the Set of Warehouse 13 - Joanne Kelly

Exclusive Interview with Joanne Kelly at the Set of Warehouse 13 in Toronto, 8/23/14
By Jamie Ruby

Joanne KellyThis August SciFi Vision had the opportunity to visit the Warehouse 13 set. Joanne Kelly, who stars as Myka Bering on the show, sat down to talk with SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview.

There is quite a lot going on in the final season of the series. "I kind of explained it when I was at Comic-Con; it's as if Jack Kenny our showrunner was packing for vacation and he stuffed as many things in the suitcase as humanly possible. It's like he sat on it and just stuffed the episodes so full. There's so much that happens in just six [episodes]."

Exclusive: On the Set of Warehouse 13 - Allison Scagliotti

Exclusive Interview with Allison Scagliotti at the Warehouse 13 set in Toronto, 8/23/13
By Jamie Ruby

Allison ScagliottiIn August SciFi Vision had the amazing opportunity to visit the Warehouse 13 set in Toronto during filming of the season finale.

Allison Scagliotti, who plays Claudia Donovan on the popular Syfy series, talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview.

Scagliotti talked about some of the things crammed into the final season. "What I love about Warehouse 13 [is] the amps turned up to eleven. We have a crazy telenovela episode that's half in Spanish. We deal with Paracelsus (Anthony Head), and I don't want to spoil that too much, because that's a really exciting and kind of Buffyesque kind of moment. For Claudia, we finally get to learn what happened to her family, and we meet her sister (Chryssie Whitehead) who Claudia was not aware was still alive. So Claudia and Artie (Saul Rubinek) have to sort of deal with how that changes their relationship; he was keeping it from her, and what she has to learn from the situation, which is that some things in life you can't fix."

Exclusive: On the Set of the Final Season of Warehouse 13

Warehouse 13 SetAnybody who has watched or listened to interviews with the cast of Warehouse 13 can easily see how well they get along and how much fun they have together; it's really quite infectious. Over the years I have had the privilege of interviewing the cast, as well as executive producer Jack Kenny, on multiple occasions. I even visited the set in Toronto as part of the Syfy Digital Press Tour a couple years ago.

When I visited the set again last August for SciFi Vision, along with writer Karen Moul, I experienced that energy, yet another feeling as well. I was there during the series finale and one of the last days of filming for the cast, in fact, it was the last day they filmed in Artie (Saul Rubinek)'s office. There was a feeling of somberness for everyone as the day wound down and it started to sink in. I felt quite honored to be able to be there at such a significant time.
