Note from the editor: I have included interviews under exclusive if they are private or one-on-one or in person interviews. These were not part of press conference calls or group discussions. These are exclusives that are currently published here at SciFi Vision or as part of one of SciFi Vision's own podcasts, or in some early cases at Media Blvd. Magazine.

I also have chosen to include some interviews from press events that are only open to a select few and not the general press or public, such as convention press rooms and everything from the Syfy Digital Press Tours, set tours, etc. as although they are not entirely exclusive, they do contain exclusive photos and sometimes videos that no other site has (I have started to mark some of these as "Spotlight" as opposed to "Exclusive, but they still remain in this category"), or may be about my own experiences only at the events. Note that in a few specific cases, the set tours were exclusive and specifically for SciFi Vision.

All of the articles unless otherwise noted were written by me, Jamie Ruby, and are copyright © 2017 Sci-Fi Vision. If you would like to post an article on your own site, please let us know first. Please do not use any of the exclusive photos or videos on your own site without permission (it will usually be given). You can find the rest of our published articles, including both interviews and reviews under articles.

Spotlight: Midnight, Texas Set Visit + Interviews & Exclusive Photos - 2018 - UPDATED

Midnight, TexasStarting September 12th, SciFi Vision was once again lucky enough to be invited to a press day for a Midnight, Texas set visit in Albuquerque, New Mexico. The NBC series is based around Charlaine Harris' book series.

The setup of the schedule was different this time. For the first day, we interviewed the first set of cast members and then visited the backlot, ending with a catered Mexican dinner. The following day we interviewed the remaining cast members as well as the new producers. We also had a guided tour of the set interiors, as well as of the costume van. Both days we got to watch scenes being filmed from the monitors in the Cartoon Saloon.

Below, please find links to all of the articles that have been published so far for the event. This page will serve as a landing page and will continue to be updated.

Spotlight: Midnight, Texas Season Two Set Visit - Day Two: Set Visit & Interviews + Exclusive Photos

Midnight, TexasDay two of the Midnight, Texas press day started out similar to the day before. The other journalists and I met at the hotel and were picked up and driven to Stage 9 at Albuquerque Studios. Stage 9 would once again be our base camp, at least for the start of the day.

First up were the round table interviews. First to our table was François Arnaud, who plays the character of Manfred Bernardo in the show.

One of the things Arnaud discussed is how the series will be a bit different this season because of the new showrunners and teased a bit of what’s to come. “I think the writers this season really expanded the mythology. I mean, I’m really surprised at how ambitious it became. It really departs from the book. It’s still relationship centered, but it departs from the soapy dynamics of the couples. By the end of the second season, we physically move into other realms, and it’s surprising to read at first, but it all makes sense. They tie up loose ends, and by the end of the season, the world that the writers managed to create with the show goes well beyond Midnight and well beyond the physical world as we know it. It’s very cool.”
