Tomorrow season three of Ghostwriter premieres on Apple TV+. SciFi Vision was given an exclusive sneak peek clip from episode eight, entitled, “He's a Ghost, She's a Rainbow” that you won’t see anywhere else!

This sneak peek features new cast members Princess Mapp (“Sydney to the Max,” “The Unicorn”), Nour Assaf (“The Casagrandes”), and Daire McLeod (“Danger Force”) as they meet the shapeshifting character “Rainbow,” inspired by The Rolling Stones song, “She’s A Rainbow.”

Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire, which recently premiered on AMC and AMC+, is a contemporary reimagining of the gothic novel that tells the tragic love story between vampire Lestat de Lioncourt (Sam Reid) when he falls for and turns Louis de Pointe du Lac (Jacob Anderson). What follows is an epic and bloody tale that includes the turning of now forever fourteen-year-old Claudia (Bailey Bass), all told via flashbacks to journalist Daniel Molloy (Eric Bogosian).

In tonight’s all-new episode of the series, Louis goes to visit his human sister, played by Kalyne Coleman, even though he wasn’t invited to her twins’ birthday party. Having not visited for six months, his mother tells him he isn’t welcome, and Grace’s husband, Levi (Christian Robinson), attempts to make him leave. Angered, Louis kicks the door open, and it flies off the hinges, leaving everyone terrified.

Is that the last straw for Grace? According to Coleman, who recently spoke with SciFi Vision, what happens in episode three is a “big transition” for Grace. “I think that Grace now understands that the changes that are happening with Louis are becoming violent, are becoming unsafe for her family in a way that she can't be okay with anymore,” the actress told the site. “She's tried to keep the connection. She's tried to show him that there's still space here. And there's so much that you don't see as far as the many attempts she's made toward Louis to reach out and tell him, ‘Please, trust me. What's going on? I'm your sister. Be here for my family. I want to be there for you.’ So, I think in that episode is when she realizes there has to be a line drawn. She has to protect herself and her family, because something darker is now happening.”

Reboot, created by Steven Levitan, Hulu decides to bring back and update a sitcom from the early 2000’s, “Step Right Up,” bringing the dysfunctional cast back together. The cast have changed, as have the times, and the group has to navigate their new roles while still dealing with old hangups.

Recently, stars Judy Greer and Johnny Knoxville, who play the stars of the sitcom, Bree Marie Jensen and Clay, spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the series, connecting with their characters, crazy mishaps on sets from their past, what reboots they’d like to see, and more.

Tonight, the new Supernatural spinoff, The Winchesters, comes to The CW. The series is obviously a prequel, but the question remained if it would be made to be different than the original and feel like its own thing, or if it would be more of an extension and feel like the same exact world. The creative team knew that they couldn’t recreate the original and they didn’t want to undo the mythology that always exists either. According to executive producer Robbie Thompson, the balance was something they discussed from the beginning with executive producers Jensen and Danneel Ackles. “They had this idea about the love story between John and Mary,” Thompson told SciFi Vision during a recent panel promoting the series. “I think the extent of those first conversations were a lot of, ‘How do we do this and not undo anything and not rewrite or or anything like that?’…We can't recreate Supernatural…We had to find a way to kind of carve our own path.  We do have a plan for that. We're not going to totally reveal all of it today, but our plan is to sort of pull that curtain back in our thirteenth episode.”

Thompson also talked to the challenges of differentiating their show and using Better Caul Saul and Breaking Bad as an example. “[Better Caul Saul]’s a show that obviously predates the events of Breaking Bad, but it exists in its own little bubble, in its own little universe,” the producer told the site. “…Because we are a show that deals with the supernatural and paranormal, we have a few more tricks up our sleeves that we can kind of take advantage of, and we'll be hinting at that throughout the season, and then really pulling it all back in episode thirteen to really let the audience in on what we've done.”

Tonight NBC aired an all-new episode of Quantum Leap in which Ben (Raymond Lee) leapt into the 1980s into the body of a female bounty hunter, Eva Sandoval. When Ben tried to repair Eva’s relationship with Jake (Justin Hartley), he started to remember his own past, which included his engagement to Addison (Caitlin Bassett), who serves as his hologram and helper during the leaps. 

Ben’s memory returning is an exciting change according to Bassett, who recently spoke with SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview. “That is when I think it really starts to open up,” the actress told the site, “because every time he has a memory now, it's just another piece of the puzzle...It allows it just storytelling-wise to happen in the scene in the moment…So, I think the audience will see a much more alive, real, tangible relationship.” 

Having worked as an intelligence analyst in the army during which time she earned a law degree, Bassett only more recently transitioned to acting. With Addison being her first big role, it’s been an intense adjustment period, but it’s been a positive experience that she’s grateful for. “I think it's just like starting anything big,” said the star, “Like, when I went to law school, or when I was in the military, you just kind of have to jump in, and luckily, I'm with possibly the kindest, most supportive cast and crew on the planet. So, I just feel so lucky not only to have such an amazing, meaty, complicated, fun, exciting role on a fun, exciting show, but then to have the support of who I have, I'm the luckiest person on the planet.” 

On tonight’s all-new episode of Quantum Leap, “A Decent Proposal,” Ben (Raymond Lee) leaps into the body of a female bounty hunter in 1980’s Los Angeles. Last week SciFi Vision spoke with director Rachel Talalay (Doctor Who,The Flash) in an exclusive interview about creating the time period and some of the unique parts of the experience. 

The 80s was a time Talalay was happy to be recreating. “That's what's great about time travel shows, you never know what you're going to get,” the director told SciFi Vision. “So, it was really nice to get something that I was comfortable with.” 

 “I was such a passionate punk,” she added. “…I remember discovering the Go Go's and giving it to my kid sister as the coolest pop punk. I was in the Whisky a Go Go in the early 80s, so it just felt like a complete fit.” 

This, however, did present a problem. “The challenge, of course, was that all of these things that I love about the 80s LA, many have disappeared,” Talalay explained, saying that she went to her own photographs. “The first time I visited LA was in '81, so I pulled out some photographs that I took of landmarks from '81. Of course, they're not there anymore.” 

Last Sunday, The Walking Dead returned for its final eight episodes. There has been a lot of tension among those in the Commonwealth, because of what Sebastian (Teo Rapp-Olsson), Governor Pamela Milton (Laila Robins)’s son, is being accused of. In last week’s episode, Yumiko (Eleanor Matsuura) talked to Pamela about what was transpiring, seemingly giving her the benefit of the doubt that she didn’t know everything her son was involved in. During a recent roundtable, SciFi Vision talked to Matsuura about Yumiko’s true feelings on the matter. “What was so disarming about Pamela is that she also has these moments of vulnerability where she'll share with me her feelings about Sebastian,” the actress told the site. “That can be quite kind of discombobulating for two women who are supposed to be in this professional relationship. I think I'm afforded this sort of privileged time with Pamela behind closed doors that not many people get to see. It's not as straightforward as you might think. I think that's part of what makes the storyline so interesting is that it's not that Pamela's just like this out and out there baddie…It's more nuanced than that. I think the way Laila plays Pamela is that you can see the struggle. You can see her belief in this system, and Yumiko has belief in a system; I want to believe in laws and a system. So, I can respect that point of view, and that's familiar ground to me. That's why I think the scene is interesting to play, because it's like two really smart, intelligent human beings, who are also very, very good at twisting words and manipulating things.”

Tonight, the first of the final eight episodes of The Walking Dead premieres on AMC. SciFi Vision recently spoke to members of the cast during a roundtable interview about what their characters taught them.

For Josh McDermitt, who plays Eugene, it was his selflessness. “I think Eugene has taught me to be less selfish,” the actor told SciFi Vision, “just in my own life. Not that I've [ever] felt like I was a very selfish person, but just to see how Eugene really puts others before him. I was like, ‘Yeah, that's kind of how we should all be living.’”

“I'm strong enough to do a lot more than I give myself credit for,” said Margot Bingham, who plays Eugene’s girlfriend, Max.

Paola Lazaro, who plays Princess, learned some valuable skills from her character. “For me,” said the actress, “I think this character taught me to be at peace with myself and to kind of love myself, but also to use the pain of the past to move you forward and for survival. Use those skills that you learned in the past, dealing with trauma and stuff like that to move you forward in this world as a shield.”

Let the Right One, which premieres Sunday on Showtime, follows Eleanor Kane (Madison Taylor Baez), who ten years prior was turned into a vampire and thus stuck forever as a twelve-year-old, only able to leave at night. Her father, Mark (Demián Bichir) does his best to continue to provide her with the blood she needs, but things become more challenging when they become entangled in the lives of those around them, including Isiah Cole (Ian Foreman) who wants to be friends with Eleanor.

The ten-episode series was inspired by the original Swedish novel and film of the same name. When adapting the story for the new series, showrunner and executive producer Andrew Hinderaker started with the connections between the characters. “The [original] movie is not only one of, for me, the best horror movies ever made, but probably the most moving, and that's how I always begin, with an emotional connection,” he told SciFi Vision during a recent TCA panel. “I think that, in the film, the relationship between those two children…is just astonishingly beautiful and poignant and poetic, and so there's an opportunity to use that as an aesthetic inspiration.”

“What's sort of extraordinary about the film is it also felt like there was real creative space to build upon what was already there,” he added. “So, for example, there's sort of a small relationship between the character, the child vampire, and her caretaker, who fetches her blood. For me, personally, as a person, as an artist, I was really interested in exploring addiction and exploring what a parent will do for a child when they are struggling with addiction. It felt like this incredible gift to take what was in the foundations and in the sort of seeds of the film and create an entirely new story that would be centered around Demián's character Mark and Madison's character Eleanor and explore the lengths that this father would go to keep his daughter alive.”
