Creator of NBC's "Chuck" Talks Season 5

By Jamie Ruby

ChuckChris Fedak is the creator and executive producer of the popular action-comedy series Chuck on NBC. The series follows Chuck Bartowski (Zachary Levi) as a computer nerd turned spy, when a database of government secrets and deadly fighting skills that was meant for someone else is downloaded into his head. Chuck is assisted by Colonel John Casey (Adam Baldwin) and CIA agent (and now wife) Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski).

This season everything has been turned on its head as the team no longer work for the CIA, but rather their own private security company Carmichael Industries. The "Intersect" has also now been downloaded into Chuck's best friend, Morgan Grimes (Joshua Gomez), so Chuck must learn to work with his own set of skills.

David Giuntoli & Russell Hornsby Star in "Grimm"

By Karen Moul

GrimmOne of the bright spots on NBC’s fall lineup is Grimm, a supernatural police drama based on the classic Grimm’s fairy tales. The series is drawing steady-but-not-huge numbers, averaging more than 5 million viewers each week. Not bad for Fridays at 9 pm, a tough slot for a new genre series where it has to compete against cult favorites Supernatural and Fringe.

Grimm
stars David Giuntoli as Nick Burkhardt, a Portland cop who learns he’s descended from a long line of mythological crime fighters tasked with keeping marauding fairy tale villains in check. Nick’s partner, Hank Griffin (Lincoln Heights’ Russell Hornsby) is in the dark for now, but how long will Nick’s secret remain hidden?

The Walking Dead: Episode 2x03, “Save the Last One”

By Karen Moul

The Walking DeadI take back much of what I said last week. In “Bloodletting” I thought we were seeing another side of Shane, a side that was loyal and responsible and almost likeable. This week, I’m pretty sure that is the last time anyone will use those words to describe Shane.

But I don’t mind being wrong when we get an ending this delicious. The final scene was so shockingly great, most viewers didn’t even notice that almost nothing happened during the entire rest of the episode. Those last five minutes cemented Shane’s position as the most compelling character on the show. Yes, his actions were horrifying, but they raised a number of fascinating questions about morality and survival and to what extent the two are compatible.

Rick is the show’s moral center and always does the honorable thing; he’s constantly risking his life for others. He went back into Atlanta after Merle, he ran off after Sophia, and he gives away guns to everyone he meets. There’s no way he would do the things that Shane has done, even if it meant he would survive.

But while Rick sees the world as black and white, Shane is operating in a very grey area.

The Walking Dead: Episode 2x02, "Bloodletting"

By Karen Moul

The Walking DeadWith thirteen episodes this season, the writers of The Walking Dead have the luxury of slowing down and developing the characters. Week two was another slow episode, but I think these early episodes devoted to character development will pay off down the road.

I love what they did with Shane this week. They’ve been building him up to be a villain almost as dangerous as the walkers. He left Rick for dead, slept with his wife, and tried to make Rick’s family his own. He even tried to rape Lori. He really has not been a good friend.

And suddenly, there is another side to Shane, a side that is likeable.

Ben Hansen & Jael Pardo Return for More Episodes of "Fact or Faked"

By Lynn Tackitt

Fact or FakedWe have all heard of UFO's and possible alien abductions and ghosts and hauntings, but do we all believe them or do we wonder if someone is trying to pull the wool over our eyes? Would it even be possible to fool people regarding the out of the ordinary lives we live in?

In Syfy's show Fact or Faked, they deal with the reality of the claims of hauntings and UFO's on a more scientific scale. Taking myths and tales of modern lore and using scientific experiments to determine if there is any validity, or if they have been faked for entertainment purposes, they deliver a good show that often delivers more thought provoking questions than what you had when you started the show.

We joined in on an interview with Ben Hansen and Jael de Pardo who shared their adventures and the hopes for future shows.
