SciFi Vision - Where Fiction and Reality Meet

Emily Rose: Audrey Parker Gets a Life

By Jamie Ruby

Emily RoseEmily Rose, who is also lending her voice to the video game Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception as Elena Fisher, stars as Audrey Parker in the Syfy scripted series Haven. Haven, which is now in its second season, is loosely based on Stephen King's The Colorado Kid.

Last season, Audrey, who is an FBI agent, came to the mysterious town of Haven, Maine, to investigate strange happenings caused by what the town calls "troubles." She works alongside local cop, and now police chief, Nathan Wuornos, played by Lucas Bryant. This season Audrey has learned that she is immune to quite a few of the troubles.

Recently Audrey met Chris Brody, played by Jason Priestley, who after his father died inherited his "gift," which is that everyone, except for Audrey, absolutely loves everything about Chris - he can do no wrong in their eyes.

Chris is sick of his affliction. The only one he can feel normal around is Audrey, who he asked on a date recently. Though the date was disasterous to say the least, the two decide to make a go of it and end up in bed at the end of the most recent episode that aired last Friday.

Tonight, episode six of the season, "Audrey Parker's Day Off," airs at 10pm eastern on Syfy. The episode is about the agent reliving the day over and over again, trying to save her friends and break the cycle.

Emily Rose recently talked to the media about tonight's episode and what is next for her character.

Syfy's "Haven" Launching Integrated Story Line Starting Tonight

SYFY'S HAVEN SERIES WILL LAUNCH UNPRECEDENTED FULLY INTEGRATED TWITTER STORY LINE BEGINNING FRIDAY, AUGUST 12

NEW YORK – August 10, 2011 – Syfy's popular series Haven will become the first television series to create a storyline that flows between the show itself and the micro-blogging service Twitter when it launches a special seven-episode arc beginning Friday, August 12, at 10PM (ET/PT).

"The Haven writers and producers have done an amazing job of crafting a story line that seamlessly moves between the TV show and Twitter," said Craig Engler, General Manager and Senior Vice President, Syfy Digital. "Although there have been simple integrations before, no one has fully and organically integrated Twitter into the fabric of the show in the way Haven is doing. If you watch Haven and use Twitter, you're in for a real treat."

In the story, Vince (Richard Donat) and Dave (John Dunsworth), who run the newspaper in Haven, join Twitter as newcomers to the medium. Viewers who follow their characters (@VinceHaven, @DaveHaven) will see them interact with a mysterious Twitter user (@ColdInHaven) who knows more about Haven – and Vince and Dave – than anyone should.

"Teen Spirit" Review

By AJ Grillo

Teen SpiritI'm not really the target audience for a movie like Teen Spirit, but that doesn't mean I can't appreciate the fine acting talents of two up and coming stars, Cassie Scerbo and Lindsey Shaw. However, that is why I watched with my daughter to get insight from someone who is within the target audience.

The story has been told time and again: unpopular kid that not many people are aware exists turns into the popular person at school. This time though, it was done with a twist. Amber (Cassie Scerbo) is dead and now must find a way to turn a wall flower (Lisa; Lindsey Shaw) into a rose by becoming prom queen so that she can get to Heaven.
