Last Tuesday was the first live show for NBC’s America’s Got Talent, and eleven acts performed, with two being voted to the next round. The two were revealed on Wednesday that were moving forward. The first lucky performer moving forward was revealed to be Drake Milligan, the country music singer from Fort Worth Texas, whose audition song, the original “Sounds Like Something I’d Do,” soared to #1 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart, and the video hit #1 on the iTunes Country Video Chart. The other artist to move on was saxophone player from Atlanta, Georgia, Avery Dixon, who was previously awarded the Golden Buzzer by Terry Crews.

The film Fall from Lionsgate, which was recently released in theaters,tells the story of best friends Becky (Grace Caroline Currey) and Hunter (Virginia Gardner) who are stranded after climbing to the top of an abandoned two-thousand-foot radio tower.

The idea for the film, according to director and co-writer Scott Mann, who spoke to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview, came from a fear of heights. “Myself and cowriter Johnathan [Frank] were actually on a shoot on top of a football (ie soccer) stadium of all places for a film we were shooting in London,” said the director, referencing his film that is now on Netflix, Final Score. “I remember, we were just aware of being on this small space at a real height with a sheer drop, and just the kind of fear of that, and how there's something in that more than just a gag or a stunt. I mean, it felt like there was more to be had, with this fear of heights or fear of falling thing…I do think there is an inner kind of fear in all of us about height. It's a very universal fear that we have. So, it was trying to use that as the core of the whole film and build a whole film around it and really use that to its maximum kind of different tones, the different palette of fun you could have. So, that was what it started at. I guess that and the combination of wanting to do something that really used film theater for what it's supposed to be used for and really kind of stand out in that environment and immerse you in that environment. So, that kind of fed through it too.” Mann added that they wanted the experience to feel more like a theme park ride.

Recently, Netflix premiered the highly-anticipated series The Sandman, based on the comics written by Neil Gaiman of the same name. The series follows the Sandman, aka Dream, who rules the Dreaming realm. When Dream is captured for a century, it not only affects his world, but the waking world as well. Dream must go on a quest to return what was stolen from him and repair the two worlds.

While visiting with his sister, Death (Kirby Howell-Baptiste), in 1389, they overhear a man in the tavern, Hob Gadling (Ferdinand Kingsley), declare that he will never die, because he chooses not to. Intrigued, Death grants him immortality. Dream tells Hob to meet him in one hundred years. Every century the two men meet in a pub to discuss what Hob continues to live for.

Kingsley recently talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about his time working on the series.

The actor was already familiar with the comic series when he took on the role. “I've got an older brother who is a huge fan, was a huge Sandman fan when he was a teenager, when we were growing up. He's six years older than me, so from when I was about nine or ten onwards, it was sort of always around,” Kingsley told the site.

Tonight, the highly-anticipated anticipated episodic anthology series in the universe of The Walking Dead, called Tales of the Walking Dead, premiered on AMC and AMC+. In the premiere episode, Joe (Terry Crews), an end of the world prepper, has isolated himself except for chatting with others through the internet. When he ventures outside his safe haven, he meets Evie (Olivia Munn), who still sees the beauty in the world. The two clash but must work together if they are to survive the apocalypse.

On Thursday, Crews talked to SciFi Vision during a roundtable with the press about what surprised him most about working on the franchise, which is how hard it would be. “A tremendous amount of effort goes into every episode,” explained the actor. “We only had ten days to do a full movie. We went twelve hours every day, and, I mean, it was basically me and Olivia in every scene. Thank God we were playing the apocalypse, because it felt like it. We were so exhausted and so tired, but that's what you want to be. The way I look at it is if you’re playing in the Super Bowl, you want to get dirty, bloody, messed up. If you come out of the Super Bowl with a clean uniform, did you ever play? This is what I knew coming in, that this was going to be a challenge, because you're playing the end of the world and the zombie apocalypse, and I didn't want it to be easy, but I was shocked at how hard it would be.”

The third and final season of the hit series Locke & Key, based on the comic book series of the same name by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez, recently premiered on Netflix. At the end of season two, Eden brought back Captain Frederick Gideon using the Echo Key. In season three, the Locke family must not only stop Gideon from taking the keys but deal with an old foe. Recently, Connor Jessup, who stars as Tyler Locke, spoke with SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview.

At the end of season two, aging out of magic, due to grief over the death of his girlfriend, Tyler made the choice to not use the Memory Key, knowing he would forget magic. “He just wants to in every way, emotionally, mentally, [and] physically, get away,” Jessup told SciFi Vision. “Season three, there's a bit of a time jump, and we meet him in Wisconsin, and he doesn't remember magic at all. So, he's totally separate from his family, and even when he’s reunited with them, he can't remember anything that they've been through together in the last couple years. So, he's on the outside, and he's confused. He doesn't understand what they're going through and what's going on, and why it seems like something is wrong.”

He also gets some advice from his sister, Death (Kirby Howell-Baptist).

Recently, SciFi Vision spoke with the three actresses during a press roundtable where we asked them about balancing what they pull from the source material and script versus what they are able to add creatively.

“I feel like we've been very, very true,” Coleman told SciFi Vision. “…Particularly in the comic book, for me, the interaction with Mad Hetti (Clare Higgins) on screen, it just felt like literally [a] mirror image. So, I found that very, very, very thrilling. I think our version of Johanna Constantine is, obviously, visually very different from the comic book, but otherwise, I feel like that episode in particular is very, very true to the source.”

Based on actual events chronicled by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink, the new limited series dramatizes the impact of Hurricane Katrina on a New Orleans hospital and the harrowing aftermath. The early episodes play like a disaster film as the staff and patients hunkered down to ride out the storm. When the levees broke, Memorial Hospital was surrounded by water with no power, water or evacuation plan. Facing horrific conditions and with no good options, exhausted doctors and nurses made impossible decisions about how to care for and comfort their patients. When it was all over, 45 bodies were recovered from the hospital, triggering a criminal investigation. Ultimately, Five Days at Memorial offers a compelling ethical discussion and powerful indictment of the corporate and government institutions that failed New Orleans.

The first three episodes premiere on Apple TV+ today, with new episodes every Friday through September 16. Produced and written by Carlton Cuse (Lost, Bates Motel) and John Ridley (12 Years a Slave), the series stars Cherry Jones, Vera Farmiga, Robert Pine, Adepero Oduye, Cornelius Smith, Jr., W. Earl Brown, and Julie Ann Emery.

The third feature film from Vincent Grashaw, What Josiah Saw tells the story of a damaged family reuniting after two decades at a remote family farmhouse, bringing long buried secrets to light. Nick Stahl, who stars as Eli Graham, recently spoke to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about working on the film.

Stahl liked the character from the beginning. “I just really loved Eli's storyline,” the actor told SciFi Vision. “I liked the idea of playing this guy who the odds were kind of stacked against him, and he's ultimately kind of, I'd say, misunderstood and is just carrying a heavy load in the beginning of the story. He kind of goes through this little journey that he is not necessarily on board with and he's just kind of playing the hand he was dealt. All those all those elements I thought were challenging [and] fun to play.”

Tonight, Syfy premieres an all new episode of its hit series, Resident Alien. On Monday, SciFi Vision talked to star Alan Tudyk and creator and executive producer Chris Sheridan during a roundtable about the back half of season two. In the upcoming episodes, Harry deals with mortality as he continues to become more human as he develops more emotions. Harry is never comfortable with those emotions, and Tudyk talked to the site about the possibility of Harry coming to accepting those changes in himself.

“I'm sure he'll come to some understanding of it as he goes on,” the actor told SciFi Vision. “It’s also new to him right now. Emotions can sort of catch him off guard coming out of him that it's just not something that he's used to feeling. They don't have them on his planet. So, as as time goes on, I'm sure he'll get used to it, maybe coping with it like humans do…I think [it’s] just like humans; we have emotions, and they catch us off guard…As far as his his relationship with being human, that's always going to be a little tricky.”

Created by Stephen Merchant and Elgin James, Friday, Prime Video released season two of the crime thriller comedy series from the UK, The Outlaws. The series follows seven strangers working off a community service sentence in Bristol. The group discovered a bag of money in season one, and in season two they must work together to outwit a drug dealer after they are threatened.

Gamba Cole plays the role of Ben Eastfield. The actor recently talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview and teased a bit about where Ben is at this season. “Season two for [Ben] is about the discovery of himself and his dreams, [and] what he wants to do and never really got the opportunity to,” explained the actor, “because he was so fixated on looking after Esme (Aiyana Goodfellow) and making sure that she had opportunities and that she was able to do more than he was, but for him, now, he's allowed to be a little bit selfish, in a way, and he really wants to include Rani (Rhianne Barreto) in that.”
