Video Intervew: La Brea’s Jon Seda and Chiké Okonkwo on Their Character’s Friendship & More

La BreaTonight, La Brea returns for an all-new episode of season three. The series follows a group of survivors that traveled through a sinkhole in Los Angeles to 10,000 B.C. In the tonight's episode, in the aftermath of the dinosaurs’ destruction of the clearing from last week, the group moves to a new home where they must accept new leadership. Meanwhile, Sam (Jon Seda) deals with the fact that Riley (Veronica St. Clair) is now gone, after Josh (Jack Martin), against his wishes, took his injured daughter through the portal to an undetermined time. In 2021, arriving only weeks prior to the opening of the sinkhole, Ty (Chike Okonkwo) seeks help from a friend. 

Recently, Seda and Okonko spoke with SciFi Vision about the new season, including how their characters must rely on each other this season and how trust plays a role for the group as a whole.

SkymedLast week, the Canadian medical drama SkyMed returned to Paramount Plus for all-new episodes of season two. The series follows a group of nurses and pilots working for an air ambulance service as they navigate life and working medical rescue in remote Northern Canada. This season, Nurse Hayley Roberts (Natasha Calis) struggles to deal with the aftermath of her surgery, while Crystal Highway (Morgan Holmstrom) balances medical school, while still working full time as a flight nurse.

Exclusive Video Intervew: La Brea Showrunner David Appelbaum Talks Final Season

La BreaLa Brea, which premiered its third and final season on NBC last week, follows a group of people thrown together after a sinkhole mysteriously opened in Los Angeles and pulled people into 10,000 B.C. where they have since been fighting to survive. The show picked up after the events of the season two finale, when Levi blew up the Lazarus building, dashing everyone’s hopes of returning to the present.

Recently, series creator and show runner David Appelbaum spoke with SciFi Vision about the final season, including whether or not the group can forgive Levi (Nicholas Gonzalez), discord within the community and changing leadership, if he was able to wrap up the series the way he wanted, what he learned from the experience, and more.

Interview: Amy De Bhrún, Hazel Doupe & Stephanie Lev-John Talk Sanctuary: A Witch's Tale

Sanctuary: A Witchs TaleThe seven-part drama series Sanctuary: A Witch’s Tale, which was adapted from the novel by V.V. James, premieres January 4th on AMC+ and Sundance Now. The series is set in a contemporary world where witches are real. In the town of Sanctuary, witches now live happily among the people and have been accepted.

When teen rugby star Dan Whithall (Max Lohan) tragically dies, it causes fear and suspicion among the town of Sarah Fenn (Elaine Cassidy), the town’s witch, and her daughter, Harper (Hazel Doupe). Abigail (Amy De Bhrún), Dan’s mother, who was once Sarah’s closest friend and member of her coven, filled with grief and wanting to avenger her son’s death, seeks justice that sparks a modern-day witch-hunt. DCI Maggie Knight (Stephanie Levi-John), an outsider, is brought in to investigate Dan’s death.

La BreaThe series La Brea follows a group of people that fell through a sink hole that brought them to 10,000 B.C. At the end of season two of La Brea, Levi (Nicholas Gonzalez) blew up the Lazarus building and as her family watched, Eve (Natalie Zea) ended up being pulled into a portal as the machine overloaded, without anyone knowing where or when she went. Season three of the series, which premieres January 9th on NBC, picks up there, with Gavin (Eoin Macken), Izzy (Zyra Gorecki), and Josh (Jack Martin) devastated and trying to find a way back to her.

Recently, cast members Macken, Gonzalez, and Gorecki spoke with SciFi Vision about season three, including whether or not the Levi can regain trust with the Harris family, how important trust is among the group as a whole, what surprised them about their characters’ journeys, what they learned about themselves working on the series, and more.

Dr. DeathBased on the hit Wondery podcast, season two of Dr. Death, which premieres tomorrow on Peacock, follows the charming surgeon Paolo Macchiarini (Edgar Ramírez), who was known for his innovative operations. He meets journalist Benita Alexander (Mandy Moore) when she comes to him about a story on one of his patients, and the lines of professionalism blur between the two of them. Soon, everything about Macchiarini is questioned when a group of doctors make a shocking discovery. 

Recently, showrunner, writer, and executive producer Ashley Michel Hoban and executive producer Patrick Macmanus spoke with SciFi Vision about season two, including why the story which was based on real events was the one chosen, how they decide what they can add fictionally to dramatize it, whether they worried about whether the real victims were negatively affected by the series, and the casting.

Exclusive Video Interview: Morena Baccarin Talks Fast Charlie, Firefly, Deadpool & More

Morena BaccarinThe film Fast Charlie, based on the novel Gun Monkeys by Victor Gischler, is now in theaters and on demand. Charlie Swift, known as “Fast Charlie (Pierce Brosnan),” is a fixer, but he’s got a problem. The new guy blew the head off the target he killed, so it’s up to Charlie to take care of it and prove his identity to the person who called in the hit, New Orleans’ mobster, Beggar Mercado (Gbenga Akinnagbe). Charlie turns to the victim’s ex-wife, Marcie Kramer (Morena Baccarin), who’s willing to help him out of the bind. Unfortunately, things don’t go to plan, dragging Marcie back into the past she had left behind, as they fight to bring down Mercado, all while protecting the legacy of Charlie’s mentor, Stan Mullen (James Caan).

ReacherToday, the series Reacher officially returns to Prime Video for all-new episodes of season two. The second season begins when Jack Reacher (Alan Ritchson) discovers that a member of the 110th, his former army investigations unit, has been murdered. Reacher reunites with three of the remaining members of the team, including Frances Neagley (Maria Sten), Karla Dixon (Serinda Swan), and David O’Donnell (Shaun Sipos), to investigate the death. As they look for clues, the stakes get higher, making them question who betrayed them and who is next to die.

Exclusive Video Interview: Archie’s Jason Isaacs on Becoming Cary Grant & the Freedom of Playing Someone So Different from Himself

Jason IsaacsFrom executive producer Jeff Pope, Archie, now on Britbox, tells the story of Archie Leach, who grew up to become Hollywood superstar Cary Grant, but few know the story behind the man. Starring Jason Isaacs (Star Trek: Discovery, Harry Potter franchise) in the title role, the series reveals the performers’s formative years and how he overcame his troubled past to rise to stardom. 

One of the most iconic figures of the twentieth century, Isaacs revealed earlier in the week during an interview with SciFi Vision that he did not originally want to take on the role. “I thought it was a terrible idea,” he told the site, going on to explain how the view the public have of Cary Grant is a far cry from who Archie really was. “Off screen, he really wasn't [the same] at all, emotionally,” said the actor. 

Isaacs talked about how that gave him the license to explore who Grant was, and how he approached becoming the character, getting the voice down being the most difficult, since he only had a single interview on which to base it, wanting him to sound as he did in real life rather than just on film.
