FOX PICKS UP A DOUBLE D’OHse OF “THE SIMPSONS,” RENEWING SERIES FOR 27^TH AND 28^TH SEASONS

FOX has renewed THE SIMPSONS for unprecedented 27^th and 28^th seasons, which will take the series to 625 episodes.

“I've outlasted Letterman, Jon Stewart and ‘McDreamy,’ because I have something they don’t: a costly 200-donut-a-day addiction,” said Homer Simpson.

The longest-running scripted show in television history, THE SIMPSONS exploded into a cultural phenomenon in 1990 and has remained one of the most groundbreaking and innovative entertainment franchises, recognizable throughout the world. Currently airing its record-annihilating 26^th season, THE SIMPSONS has won 31 Emmy Awards, 31 Annie Awards, a 2015 People's Choice Award, was the first animated series to win a Peabody Award and was nominated for an Academy Award in 2012 for the theatrical short “The Longest Daycare.”  “The Simpsons Movie” was a hit feature film, the mega-attraction The Simpsons Ride at Universal Studios has received historic expansion updates with the addition of “Springfield” and the show was honored with a star on The Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2000. It has been named the “Best Show of the 20^th Century” by Time magazine, and called the “Greatest American Sitcom” by Entertainment Weekly in 2013.

Rosende and Toubia Joins Previously Announced Dominic Sherwood as ‘Jace Wayland’

Burbank, CA (May 1, 2015) – ABC Family continues to add to the “Shadowhunters” crew with the casting of Alberto Rosende as ‘Simon’ and  Emeraude Toubia as “Isabelle Lightwood.” It was announced today by the network. #SimonandIsabelle

Based on the bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, “Shadowhunters” follows 18-year-old Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters – human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend, Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.

Recently the fifth and final season of Syfy’s popular series premiered. Star Zoie Palmer, who plays human Dr. Lauren Lewis, recently talked to Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about her time working on the series and what’s next for her.

From the beginning of the series, there has been the main love triangle between Bo (Anna Silk) and Dyson (Kris Holden-Ried) and Bo and Lauren. The actress, however, was tightlipped about what is coming between Lauren and the succubus this season. "I can almost say absolutely nothing, other than it's going to be as tumultuous as always. It's going to be as up and down and left and right and crazy as always."

Even though both characters are in love with Bo, Lauren and Dyson through the seasons have formed somewhat of a friendship with each other. "Dyson and Lauren have always had a really complicated relationship, because their biggest thing in common, of course, is Bo, and the love for her and the protection of her, and they both take that so fiercely seriously. And I think that they respect each other because of that, and I think they always have.
