ABC Family’s upcoming science fiction series,
Stitchers, follows Kirsten Clark, played by Emma Ishta. The computer science graduate student is extremely intelligent, but because of a medical condition, she is very emotionally distant, which makes her a perfect candidate for “stitching.” She is recruited by a secret government agency to be “stitched” into the memories of the recently deceased to help solve mysteries and crimes that otherwise would remain unsolved.
After joining the program, Kirsten meets Cameron Goodkin, Played by Kyle Harris, one of the scientists working on the program.
In preparation for the June premiere, the two stars recently talked to the media about the series.
Ishta first talked to SciFi Vision about the challenge of playing Kirsten, who shows little emotion. “It’s definitely a challenge. One of the things I love playing about her is that she is this character who’s not necessarily in line with what most human beings are like, and it does change throughout the course of the season. She goes on this real emotional awakening, so it’s been really fun, but also definitely a challenge to track her process throughout the season and where she’s at in terms of her emotional abilities.”
