Lucas BryantLast night, WGN America premiered its newly-acquired series, Shoot the Messenger. The eight-part event series follows reporter Daisy Channing (Elyse Levesque) when she witnesses a murder and discovers a scandalous cover-up. She is helped by her co-worker and senior reporter, Simon Olenski, played by Lucas Bryant, her editor, Mary Foster (Alex Kingston), and Detective Kevin Lutz (Lyriq Bent).

Bryant recently talked to SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about his character and his work on the series, as well as the end of Syfy’s Haven.

In “The Guy with Fire in His Eyes,” Annie (Anna Paquin) shares her theory that Jesse’s (Sadie O’Neil) case has a connection to another mystery – from 20 years ago. When a new riddle is found, Annie is led down an uncomfortable path that has her digging into a loved and respected member of the community. Meanwhile at home, Annie finds herself at odds with Daisy’s (Madison Ferguson) father, Eddie (Allen Leech), over how to deal with their daughter’s newfound risky behavior.

In the episode, “Plus One,” Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) encounter a pair of twins, both played by Karin Konoval, who are somehow causing people to kill themselves, thinking their own doppelgänger is to blame.

Advance Preview: The Magicians Season Three is Magical Even Without Magic

The MagiciansAt the end of season two of The Magicians, all the characters are devastated by the loss of magic after Quentin (Jason Ralph) kills Ember (Dominic Burgess). Not only has magic gone from Brakebills and all of Earth, but also from Fillory, where only creatures born with magic can still use it, which causes even more problems when the fairies take over the kingdom from Eliot (Hale Appleman) and Margo (Summer Bishil), as well as take Eliot and Fen (Brittany Curran)’s child.
