Advance Review: Bones Draws to a Close with Pentultimate Episode "The Day in the Life"

BonesTonight FOX airs part one of the two-part series finale of Bones, "The Day in the Life." In the penultimate episode, where guest star Cyndi Lauper reprises her role, we start to see the trajectory of where each of the characters are headed. While there are happy moments for the group, there is a lot going on: Zach (Eric Milligan) heads to trial and Brennan (Emily Deschanel) testifies. Meanwhile, Aubrey (John Boyd) and Jessica (Laura Spencer) discuss their future together, and Angela (Michaela Conlin) reveals some big news. However, all of that moves to the wayside when they discover that Kovac (Gerald Celasco), who is again after Booth (David Boreanaz) and his family, has escaped prison, and they all must work to figure out his deadly plan, while Booth races to protect his family and friends from the threat of a bomb in the lab.

Advance Review: Cosplay Melee - Syfy's New Kick-Ass Competition Series

Cosplay MeleeTonight, Syfy premieres its newest competition series, Cosplay Melee, hosted by actress and self-described "super fan girl," Yvette Nicole Brown (The Odd Couple, Community). Each week on the hour-long series, four cosplayers will use their skills and creativity to build costumes, including props, for one-of-a-kind characters to be judged and hopefully win the weekly $10,000 prize.

The judging panel consists of Brown, along with well-known cosplay expert LeeAnna Vamp and costume creator Christian Beckman (The Hunger Games, TRON: Legacy).

Face Off: All StarsTuesday the award-winning series Face Off returns to Syfy with an all-star season eleven. Sixteen previous contestants return to battle it out for the grand prize, this time in teams. ColonyTonight Colony returns with the premiere of season two. The series takes place after an invasion in an occupied Los Angeles, and follows the Bowman family as they try to survive, often making difficult choices that put them in danger.

When we last left off, Bram (Alex Neustaedter) had been arrested for trying to go under the wall surrounding the city. Meanwhile, his father, Will (Josh Holloway), left via a transit pass given to him by Proxy Snyder (Peter Jacobson) to get to the Santa Monica bloc and try to find other his son, Charlie (Jacob Buster), who had been separated from the family during the arrival.

Advance Review: Beyond Offers a Unique Mystery with Appealing Visuals

BeyondFreeform's newest scripted series Beyond premieres with a special two-hour episode January 2nd. The ten-episode season, which comes from creator, writer, and executive producer Adam Nussdorf, will also be available in its entirety on multiple digital platforms simultaneously with the two-hour premiere event.

The sci-fi series follows Holden Matthews (Burkely Duffield), who after awakening from a twelve year coma discovers he has strange and dangerous new powers. He, along with some help from his old friend Kevin (Jordan Calloway) and new allies Willa (Dilan Gwyn) and Jeff (Jeff Pierre), must not only work to find out what happened to him during those twelve years and learn how to control his new abilities, but also to escape the reach of a mysterious group who wants something from him.

At the start of season two, the group boards The Abigail after the military bombs Los Angeles to try to contain the infected, hoping that San Diego, and later Mexico are viable destinations.

The most powerful baron, Baron Quinn (Martin Csokas), is protected by his head Clipper, Sunny (Daniel Wu), who rose in the ranks to be his most trusted assassin, but secretly dreams of a normal life beyond the Badlands, out from under the Baron's control.

When rumors rise among other Barons that Quinn is growing vulnerable, he is soon challenged for his land. The newest Baron, The Widow (Emily Beecham), is out to bring him down, with the help of her 'Butterflies.'

While attempting to recover a transport stolen by the Nomads, Sunny rescues a teenage boy, M.K. (Aramis Knight), who he trains as his Colt. He soon discovers that M.K. is hiding a dark power that may be the key to escaping his life in the Badlands.

The Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth SeasonAMC's The Walking Dead, based on the comic series of the same name by Robert Kirkman, follows a group of survivors, led by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), as they try to survive in a world where zombies, whom they call "walkers," have taken over.

Season six of The Walking Dead has a lot packed into the season. Last season the survivors made it to the town of Alexandria, which seemed like the ideal place at first with its walled in community; however, they quickly discovered that the townspeople were not equipped to handle the apocalypse as they had not had to deal with walkers.

This season the town faces multiple threats as Rick tries to lead everyone to safety.

The first half of the season focuses on the threats of a group of scavengers known as the Wolves, who attack the town. Soon things go from bad to worse as the wall starts to break down and walkers enter the community.
