Blu-ray Review: A Cure for Wellness - Out Now

A Cure for WellnessIn A Cure for Wellness, when the CEO of a company, Roland Pembroke (Harry Groener), does not return from a wellness center at a remote location in the Swiss Alps after two weeks, work obsessed executive Lockhart (Dane Dehaan) is blackmailed into going there to retrieve him.

Upon arriving, Lockhart finds Pembroke does not want to leave and seems oddly happy at the strange retreat.

After being hurt in a car accident and brought back to the center to recover, Lockhart discovers that the miraculous treatments there are not what they seem.

As he digs deeper, he soon finds himself with the same diagnosis as the other patients waiting for the mysterious cure.

Questioning his sanity, Lockhart must work to uncover the terrible secrets behind the center and Dr. Heinreich Volmer (Jason Isaacs)'s work.

In the episode, the recently blinded Doctor (Peter Capaldi) is requested by the Pope (Joseph Long) himself to help figure out a mystery. In a secret library of blasphemous texts at the Vatican, the Haereticum, there is an ancient book known as The Veritas. Anyone who has read it in attempt to translate it has immediately taken their own life. It supposedly contains a truth that no one can live with. Now a copy of the text has been sent online and the danger grows. Can the Doctor stop it, and can he survive the ultimate truth?

Doctor WhoIn tonight's all-new episode of Doctor Who, "Oxygen," the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) takes Bill (Pearl Mackie) and Nardole (Matt Lucas) to a space station after receiving a distress call from Chasm Forge, where the space suits have killed all but four of the crew. Here oxygen is a commodity and at a premium, and the only way they can get it is from the suits. In addition, thirty-six deadly corpses are walking around the station! The trio must fight to save what's left of the crew and escape back to the Tardis, all with less than three thousand breaths.

Advance Preview: Doctor Who - Knock Knock

Doctor WhoTonight the Doctor (Peter Capaldi) is back on BBC America, with what I would venture to say is the best episode so far of the season, "Knock Knock," written by Mike Bartlett and directed by Bill Anderson.

The fourth episode brings back the creepy factor when Bill (Pearl Mackie) looks for a place to live with some friends. After not much success on the hunt, when an old man (David Suchet) shows up offering them a place that seems too good to be true, they jump to sign the contract from the landlord. But when they hear creaks in the walls, it may be more than just an old house, as her friends start disappearing.

While battling memory loss and unsure of what is real, Cassie seeks the help of Professor Deckard (Bruce Davison). Meanwhile, she also must evade a group of scientists who seem to know a lot more than they're telling, all while battling consequences caused by a quantum entanglement event.
