Exclusive Video Interview: Boat Story Stars Daisy Haggard & Paterson Joseph

Boat StoryBoat Story recently premiered on Amazon Freevee. The six-episode series, which previously premiered on BBC One in the UK, follows two strangers, Janet (Daisy Haggard) and Samuel (Paterson Joseph) who’s luck suddenly seems to change when they stumble on a shipwrecked boat on the beach full of cocaine. The two decide to make a fresh start for themselves by selling the drugs and splitting the profits, but doing so starts a chain of events that bring the police as well as hit men and the sharp-dressed gangster  known as “The Tailor" (Tchéky Karyo)

Recently, stars Haggard and Joseph spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the darkly comedic series, including, what drew them to the project, connecting with the characters, working with prosthetics and effects and more. Note that there are spoilers for the first episode in the interview.

Exclusive Video Interview: Beau Bridges and Rob Mayes Star in The Neon Highway

The Neon HighwayIn the film The Neon Highway, which is now in select theaters, singer/songwriter Wayne Collins (Rob Mayes) was about to make it in Nashville when a car crash put an end to his dream. Seven years later, working as an electrician in Georgia, he meets Claude Allen (Beau Bridges), a washed up country music legend. After playing his original song for Allen, the two return to Nashville hoping to score a record deal, but things the industry has changed since Allen was last there, and no one is not interested. They are out of luck unless Wayne can find a way to outsmart the system and get the song released. 

Last week, stars Bridges and Mayes spoke with SciFi Vision about their work on the film, including why it spoke to them, what it was like singing live for the movie, what they’ve learned about themselves, what it was like for Bridges working with his son Ezekiel in the film, and more.

Exclusive Video Interview: Cabrini Director Alejandro Monteverde & Stars Cristiana Dell’Anna & David Morse

CabriniRecently, the film Cabrini was released in theaters. The biopic comes from director Alejandro Monteverde and tells the story of one of most influential people of the 20th century, Francesca Cabrini. The film follows Italian immigrant Cabrini (Cristiana Dell’Anna), who after demanding an audience with the Pope himself (Giancarlo Giannini), moves with her group of nuns to the slums of New York City and makes it her mission to help society’s most vulnerable and ends up creating an empire of hope unlike anything before.

The director and Dell’Anna, as well as David Morse, who stars as Archbishop Corrigan, recently spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film.

5 Lbs of PressureToday the film 5 Lbs of Pressure premieres in theaters, on digital, and on demand. The action-thriller, written and directed by Phil Allocco, stars Luke Evans as Adam, an ex-con who just finished his parole after serving sixteen years in prison for murder. Wanting a second chance to get to know the son who grew up without him, he returns to his old neighborhood where the brother of the youth he killed contemplates revenge. Meanwhile, Mike, played by Rory Culkin, wants out of his drug-dealing life where he works for his Uncle Leff (Alex Pettyfer).

Exclusive Video Interview: Bling Empire’s Kevin Kreider Talks The Traitors & What’s Next

Kevin KreiderOn Peacock on last week’s episode of The Traitors, “A Game of Death,” after Kate Chastain (Below Deck) had been given an ultimatum, she joined Phaedra Parks (Real Housewives of Atlanta) as a traitor in the turret, and the two discussed who to murder. Later at breakfast, it was revealed that the next victim was Kevin Kreider of Bling Empire.

Last week, Kreider spoke with SciFi Vision about his time on the reality series, including how he wish he had trusted more and been more flexible, who surprised him the most, whether he was allowed to keep his death missive, if he thinks he would have made a good traitor, and more, as well as creating his own comic.

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live - Cast Members Brandt, O’Quinn & Tate

The Walking Dead: The Ones Who LiveThe highly-anticipated next series in the universe, The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live, premieres tonight on AMC and AMC+. The series sees the return of Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and Michonne (Danai Gurira) in an epic love story of two characters who have been changed by the cruelties of the post-apocalyptic world, trying to find their way back to each other. The series also stars Lesley Ann-Brandt as Pearl Thorne, Craig Tate as Donald Okafor, and Terry O’Quinn as the mysterious General Beal that has been spoken about on the previous series.

Each of the characters Thorne, General Beal, and Okafor start the series at odds in different ways with Rick. “For me, for General Beal, the head of the CRM, anyone who comes in has potential to be helpful or unhelpful,” O’Quinn told SciFi Vision of his character “…So, I just have to keep an eye on him. I see that he has a lot of potential. I think he's very smart, thereby he could be a gift, or he could be a threat.”

Sense and Sensibility Adapted from the Jane Austen classic, following the loss of the patriarch of the family and the rules of inheritance, the Dashwood women’s new financial circumstances force them to leave their home and move to Devonshire. Elinor (Deborah Ayorinde), the practical and eldest of three daughters, falls for Edward Ferrars (Dan Jeannotte), while her younger sister (Bethany Antonia), the middle child, falls for the exciting John Willoughby (Victor Hugo) while spurning Colonel Brandon (Akil Largie). When things don’t go as they expect, each sister learns to accept the other’s approach when it comes to matters of the heart.

Star Jeannotte recently spoke with SciFi Vision about working on the film, including his wife’s love of Austen, whether he’s worried about being compared to Hugh Grant, costumes, who he would have liked more scenes with, and much more.

ConstellationCreated and written by Peter Harness, the first three episodes of the new Apple TV+ series, Constellation, premiered globally on Wednesday. The psychological thriller drama stars Noomi Rapace as Jo Ericsson, who travels to space with a group of astronauts, including Paul Lancaster (Will Catlett), only to return after a disaster to her husband (James D’Arcy) and daughter (Rosie and Davina Coleman) and realize that not everything is quite how she left it. The series also stars Jonathan Banks as Henry and Bud Caldera.

Recently, cast members Rapace, Banks, D’Arcy, and Catlett, along with Harness and Michelle MacLaren, who directed the first two episodes, spoke with SciFi Vision about the new eight-part series.

The TraitorsLast week on Peacock’s The Traitors, titled “Knives at Dawn,” it was revealed at breakfast that Carsten “Bergie” Bergersen of Love Island was the next to be murdered by the remaining traitors, Parvati Shallow (Survivor) and Phaedra Parks (Real Housewives of Atlanta). Bergie was Peter Weber (The Bachelor)’s right hand and therefore they decided his time was up.
