Host Carson Daly & Executive Producer John Irwin talk New Year's Eve

New Year's Eve with Carson DalyNBC will be ringing in the New Year live from Time Square in New York with NBC’s New Year’s Eve with Carson Daly, on Saturday, December 31st.

Carson Daly, who will host the NBC event for the fourteenth year, and executive producer, John Irwin, recently talked to the media about the upcoming event.

Daly started off by talking to SciFi Vision about some of the performances viewers will see this year.

“You know, Jennifer Lopez was just added, which is really great for us, obviously. She’s got a huge residency in Vegas so, we’re glad to have Jennifer Lopez doing a special song for us.

“And then we’ve got Blake Shelton, who continues to just have an incredible year, and his star continues to rise. Alicia Keys, and Pentatonix; it’s been fun to watch their success this year. So those are some of the artists that you’ll see on the special.

Exclusive: Danay Garcia Talks Fear the Walking Dead

Danay GarciaTomorrow, the second season of the hit AMC series, Fear the Walking Dead, comes out on blu-ray, DVD, and digital HD from Anchor Bay Entertainment.

The series, which takes place in the same universe of the original series it was spun off from, The Walking Dead, follows a blended family and some of those they have met along the way, as they try to find a place safe from the undead.

Season two introduced the character of Luciana, played by Danay Garcia, a survivor and a member of La Colonia, a community in Tijuana that Nick (Frank Dillane) makes his way to.

Exclusive: Frank Spotnitz Talks Medici: Masters of Florence, Premiering Today on Netflix

Frank SpotnitzToday Netflix premieres its new series Medici: Masters of Florence, which premiered in Italy earlier this year. The eight-part drama, which was filmed in Italy, will be released in its entirety today. The show stars Dustin Hoffman as Giovanni Medici, and Richard Madden as Cosimo Medici, and was created by Frank Spotnitz. The series follows the Medici family as they use their banking business to fund the greatest artists of the Renaissance.

The show takes place in a dystopian 2074 where governments have fallen due to climate changes and other crises and corporations have taken control. The series follows Spiga Biotech executive Ben Larson, played by Sean Teale, who is hiding his past (and true identity) and risking everything by using his influence in the corporate world to save the woman he loves.
