AMC Releases First-Look Images from the Fourth Season of Preacher, Premiering 8/4/19

AMC has released three first-look images from the upcoming fourth and final season of “Preacher,” premiering Sunday, August 4 at 9pm ET. 

“Preacher” stars Dominic Cooper, Academy Award® nominee Ruth Negga and Joseph Gilgun, along with series regulars Ian Colletti, Graham McTavish, Pip Torrens, Julie Ann Emery, and Noah Taylor. As the series inches closer to the finale, God's endgame for the universe begins to click into place. Trapped between heavenly prophecies, hellish prisons, and all-out nuclear war, Jesse, Tulip, and Cassidy make their bloody way to the Most High. Whether they can reach God in time — or whether all this carnage is part of His divine plan — will soon be revealed as “Preacher” barrels towards the end of the world. 
 
The Sony Pictures Television-AMC Studios co-production is developed for television by executive producer and showrunner Sam Catlin and executive producers Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg.

CBS today unveiled its new year-round 2019-2020 primetime programming lineup featuring four new comedies, four new dramas and 24 returning series.

The five new shows for fall include three comedies: BOB ♥ ABISHOLA from award-winning executive producer, writer and creator Chuck Lorre, starring Billy Gardell and Folake Olowofoyeku; CAROL’S SECOND ACT, starring three-time Emmy Award winner Patricia Heaton; and THE UNICORN, starring Walton Goggins. The two dramas are EVIL, a psychological mystery from acclaimed producers Michelle and Robert King, starring Katja Herbers and Mike Colter; and the courthouse ensemble ALL RISE.

WarnerMedia has ordered a second season of its post-apocalyptic sci-fi series Snowpiercer prior to its series premiere. Based on the acclaimed film of the same name, the highly anticipated futuristic thriller will debut next year on TBS. Known for its culture-defining comedies, TBS will be adding dramas to its programming lineup starting with Snowpiercer, starring Oscar® winner Jennifer Connelly (A Beautiful Mind) and Tony Award® winner Daveed Diggs (Hamilton, Black-ish), in Spring of 2020.
 
Snowpiercer is the perfect show to kick-off TBS’ entry into dramas with intricate storytelling, stunning visuals and first-class acting,” said Brett Weitz, general manager for TBS and TNT. “We believe in the longevity of this series and that audiences will be amazed by the fantastical world that brings to life such relevant social, political and environmental issues.”
 
Set more than seven years after the world has become a frozen wasteland, Snowpiercer centers on the remnants of humanity, who inhabit a gigantic, perpetually-moving train that circles the globe. Class warfare, social injustice and the politics of survival play out in this riveting television adaptation. Writing on season two will begin this June with Graeme Manson (Orphan Black) returning as executive producer and showrunner.

GAME OF THRONES Episode “The Bells” Sets Series Records; VEEP Series Finale is Season High

GAME OF THRONES’ penultimate episode, entitled “The Bells,” which aired this past Sunday, was watched by a record 18.4 million viewers across HBO’s platforms (linear, HBO GO and HBO NOW), exceeding the previous series high of 17.8 million viewers two weeks ago for the episode “The Long Night,” focusing on the Battle of Winterfell. In addition to the series high for the night, the 9:00 p.m. airing reached a time-period high for GAME OF THRONES, with an average of 12.5 million viewers, surpassing the season seven finale of 12.1 million viewers. Season eight of GAME OF THRONES is averaging 43 million viewers per episode in gross audience, an increase of more than ten million viewers when compared to season seven.

At today’s combined Walt Disney Television Upfront presentation held at Lincoln Center’s David Geffen Hall, Freeform showcased its continued commitment to provocative and bold original content that champions the force and momentum of its young adult audience.
