Cast and Director of List of a Lifetime Talk Bucket Lists & More

List of a LifetimeIn the film List of a Lifetime, premiering tonight on Lifetime as part of Lifetime’s Stop Breast Cancer for Life campaign, after being diagnosed with breast cancer, Brenda Lee (Kelly Hu) searches for the daughter, Talia (Sylvia Kwan), she gave up for adoption years ago. After finding her, Talia convinces her to make a bucket list that she will help her complete, meanwhile keeping her a secret from her adoptive parents Diana (Shannen Doherty) and Marty (Jamie Kahler).

Cast members Doherty, Hu, and Kwan, as well as the director of the film, Roxy Shih, recently talked to the press during a video conference about working on the movie.

The cast talked to SciFi Vision about what is on their personal bucket lists. Both Hu and Kwan said they have very long bucket lists. Kwan’s list is adventurous. “I definitely want to backpack the Chilkoot Mountains. Mount Whitney is on my bucket list.  I was supposed to do it last year but didn’t get to do it. Sky diving, I want to go sky diving.”

Shih was planning a trip, but didn’t get to go. “I wanted to go to Iceland with my best friend for our ten-year friendivarsary, but then COVID hit, and then that didn’t happen. I really want to see the aurora borealis. I like anything that just sort of helps us appreciate nature and all the amazing gifts that she allows us to see in certain moments at the time and to take care of our environment. So that’s probably my biggest one yet.”

Doherty, a breast cancer survivor, told the SciFi Vision that she doesn’t have a bucket list. “I think, for me, I just think a bucket list is odd in my particular situation, because it means that I’m sort of trying to check things off before my time runs out. So, I’m very much like there’s no bucket list, because I’m going to be the longest living person with cancer. So, I guess it would just be, if I had to say one, it would just be living. That’s the only thing that’s on my list at this point.”

Michael Emerson Talks Evil Finale, Tonight on Paramount+

***Originally published at TV Tango***

Michael EmersonThe supernatural drama Evil follows psychologist Kristen Bouchard (Katja Herbers) who joins former journalist turned priest-in-training David Acosta (Mike Colter) and his colleague and contractor Ben Shakir (Aasif Mandvi) to investigate strange cases of possible miracles, possession, or other demonic forces to decide if they have a scientific explanation or are caused by something else.

The series was originally created by Robert and Michelle King for CBS, but moved to Paramount+ for the second season. The move ended up being a positive thing, as it allowed the series to tap into a darker and more twisted tone which really shifted in season two, also adding more humorous elements.

Michael Emerson plays the part of the evil Leland Townsend, who has been a thorn in the side of Kristen and the others from the beginning. After pretending to have a demon exorcised, at the end of the season, he is causing even more problems after being appointed by the church to talk to the group’s clients after his claims to have experience with being possessed and saved.

Emerson recently caught up with Jamie Ruby to talk about his work on the series, which was recently renewed for a season three. Be sure to catch the season two finale tonight on Paramount+

Exclusive Video Interview: Christian Kane & Beth Riesgraf on the Return of Leverage: Redemption

Beth Riesgraf and Christian KaneLeverage, which premiered Thursday on IMDB TV, is a sequel to the original series and follows the Leverage team as they help those that are taken advantage of by the rich and powerful. The series stars Christian Kane as hitter Eliot and Beth Riesgraf, who also directed this season, as thief Parker.

Kane and Riesgraf recently talked to Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about working on the back half of the season, including Riesgraf directing, Eliot’s evolving relationship with the marshal, Maria Shipp (Andrea Navedo), the chemistry between all the characters, and more.

The two talked about getting back into the groove of the show. According to Kane, they all clicked again right away. “Dean Devlin, our boss, was very smart, and what he did was, the first scene up, we were all in the scene together. So, not only did we put these hats back on, we're playing these characters, and we'd already high fived and given each other a hug and been happy to be back together and did the table read, which was brilliant, but now we're standing there with these characters again, and how's it going to work? And I thought Dean was so fantastic and smart in thinking about, ‘Let's put them all in the first scene straight up, heavy dialogue, heavy content’…It was almost like trial by fire. I thought it was smart.

Cast and Producers Tease New Series Ghosts, Premiering Tonight on CBS

CBSTonight, CBS premieres its new series Ghosts, which is an adaptation of the British series of the same name. The show follows couple Sam (Rose McIver) and Jay (Utkarsh Ambudkar), who are excited to learn they have inherited a large house in the country. However, when they check it out, not only is it in disrepair, but they soon discover it’s still inhabited by many of the previously deceased residents from over the years.

Cast members McIver, Utkarsh, Brandon Scott Jones, Richie Moriarty, Danielle Pinnock, Asher Grodman, Román Zaragoza, Sheila Carrasco, Rebecca Wisocky, Devan Chandler Long, and executive producers Joe Port and Joe Wiseman recently talked to the press about the series as part of the TCA summer press tour.

The cast talked to SciFi Vision about whether they believe in ghosts. Long told a story about something that happened to him. “I'm staying in an apartment that was this building from the 1800s, and it was haunted for the first two weeks. Nothing's happened recently, but the first [time] I was there, there was this old guitar in my place, and the guitar string popped off at 5:00 in the morning. Then, pretty much the next two weeks, every night I would go to sleep, and just weird, creepy noises would happen. Things would fall off counters, lights would [change]. It sounds ridiculous, but I was alone, and honestly, I freaked out a little bit. I told the cast, and I actually told my wife, and she said that I should introduce myself and say who I am and what I'm doing up here; it's a Canadian ghost. They're probably nice and forgiving, and maybe they would be cool with me. I did that, and…it's been cool ever since. But it was touch and go there for a little bit. I didn't sleep a lot the first couple of weeks.”

McIver said that she wasn’t sure if she believed in ghosts or not, but she’s open to it. “I haven't witnessed or experienced something myself, but a lot of people I love and trust have. I'm definitely open to it. I feel like there's vibes in places for sure, and this house has a vibe.”

CSI: Vegas Cast and Producers Tease The New Limited Series, Starting Tonight on CBS

CBSTonight, the newest series in the franchise, CSI: Vegas, comes to CBS. The limited series is actually a sequel to the long-running CBS series, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, and brings back stars William Petersen as Gil Grisson and Jorja Fox as Sara Sidle, along with a few others. Joining the crime scene investigators are new characters Maxine Roby (Paula Newsome), Joshua Folsom (Matt Lauria), Allie Rajan (Mandeep Dhillon), and Hugo Ramirez (Mel Rodriguez).

Cast members along with executive producers Anthony Zuiker and Jason Tracey talked to journalists recently as part of the TCA Summer Press Tour.

Coming back to the series, Petersen and Fox admitted to SciFi Vision there were some difficulties in stepping back into the roles after so much time. For Fox, it had to do with the science and hitting her mark. “Well, I think I was a little rusty, for sure, on all things science. You know, even with this pandemic, like just being on a set and hitting my mark, and really simple actor-y stuff I was a little rusty at.”

Petersen, who hadn’t done any television acting since the finale, told the site he felt the same. “It was interesting, because it's a whole new lab. It's new construction. It's all kinds of new machines, new technology that Grissom wouldn't have been all that comfortable with even ten years ago. So yeah, I mean, I think the skills in the lab itself were sort of rusty, as Jorja says. And so just to be able to do a pipette and make sure that the material you're trying to transfer doesn't end up on the floor…keeping your hand steady is a trick.”

Exclusive Video Interview: Gina Bellman & Aleyse Shannon on the Return of Leverage: Redemption

Gina Bellman and Aleyse ShannonOctober 8th, Leverage: Redemption returns to IMDb TV. On the series, Gina Bellman plays the role of Sophie Devereaux, the head of the Leverage crew. When the rich and powerful take advantage of others, the Leverage team helps to provide the justice they seek. Newcomer to the team is Breanna Casey, hacker Alec Hardison (Aldis Hodge)’s sister, played by Aleyse Shannon.

Bellman and Shannon recently talked to Jamie Ruby of SciFi Vision in an exclusive interview about the second half of the season, some of the challenges they’ve faced, their favorite scenes, and more.

Bellman talked about getting back into the rhythm of the series and the natural chemistry that the cast has. “I've never been good at anticipating things, so I think I was quite nervous before I arrived in New Orleans. It’s like, ‘How's it gonna go? Are the rhythms still going to be there? Is it going to click?’ But then, as soon as I had my first fitting with Nadine Haders, we were like, ‘Oh yeah, that's Sophie.’

“…Then, we got into the read through, and just hearing everybody's voices and talking over each other, just the rhythms, it just felt like we fit in right away. I mean, [there are] some technical things, as an actor, to be able to learn those lines, so many lines, to so quickly learn the accents, jump from episode to episode to episode, never having advance copies of stuff, that stuff, you do need to get into a rhythm. It takes a little time. There's a little a little balancing act going on in the beginning.
