I have loved Dark Matter
throughout the whole season, and the two-hour season finale upped the stakes even more.
The first episode centers on a research facility that is much more than it first seems, and it will greatly affect one of the crew.
In the second hour, bonds are tested as secrets are revealed. The group struggles to know who they can trust when they are badly betrayed.
The first episode focuses on Two (Melissa O'Neill) and explaining more about who she really is, which I loved. Fans finally last week found out the basics, but there is so much more to it, and we also get to see more of perhaps her true self emerge. I also enjoyed seeing more about Five (Jodelle Ferland) and how she joined the crew. Wil Wheaton was an excellent addition to the episode as well.
The second episode was definitely one of my favorites of the season. My theories went back and forth throughout the episode, and I was definitely shocked by the conclusion.
As always, the writing and acting are fantastic, and the actors' chemistry is palpable. The finale only made me love the show more, and now I can't wait to find out what happens next. Dark Matter
is must-see Friday television, in my opinion.
