Homeland 3.2 Review: “Uh…Oh…Aw…”

homeland_iconLeaving aside that I can’t tell what that title is supposed to be, except perhaps a phonetic version of the last thing Carrie said to Saul, this was essentially the season premiere turned up to eleven. Carrie was crazy and off her meds, Saul was stabbing her in the back for the sake of the greater good (from his perspective), the agency was struggling to get past unnatural and unnecessary roadblocks, and Dana was exploring new aspects of her psychological health.

Haven 4.4 Review: “Lost and Found”

haven_iconLike the majority of episodes this season, “Lost and Found” balances the long-term plot arc of Audrey/Lexie, her fate, and the impact on the whole situation in Haven with the “Trouble of the Week” format. The latter keeps things grounded in familiar territory while the big changes to the 27-year cycle are explored in the former, but it also takes something away from the notion that things are dramatically different than they have been in the past few centuries.

James Spader Stars in The Blacklist

James SpaderThe Blacklist follows criminal Raymond "Red" Reddington, played by James Spader, one of the FBI's Most Wanted fugitives, after he surrenders to the FBI. He wants to strike a deal to help them catch the worst of the worst, many that the government doesn't know about, but with the stipulation that he will talk only with profiler Elizabeth "Liz" Keen (Megan Boone), who's fresh out of Quantico. The criminals are all part of a "blacklist" that he has compiled that consists of politicians, mobsters, spies, and terrorists.

Star Spader recently talked to the digital media about his work on The Blacklist, as well playing Ultron in Joss Whedon's new edition to The Avengers film franchise.
