Syfy Digital Press Tour 2012

This year SciFi Vision once again attended the Syfy Digital Press Tour, this time in Toronto, Ontairo, Canada. We not only hung out with the stars of Haven and Being Human, but we also got to visit the sets of the upcoming series Defiance, as well as Warehouse 13.

In the coming days, look for full coverage of the event, including reviews and tons of photos. You can also find a lot of the photos I took at Twitter via @scifivision, which will eventually all go in the gallery on this site.

For now, you can check out the stream below of what the press (including myself) was saying during the event, including all the photos and videos that were posted.

More Technical Issues

I had mentioned previously that I was having site issues, and that is still the case. Because this weekend it is important for the site not to crash (and I found out today it has still been limited causing it to slow down) I will have to temporary turn off a few things that take up high resources, until I get back from Toronto and have time to find out what script is causing an error. This will most likely result in the shut down of my Fandom Gallery. However, all photos from this year's press tour and the previous ones will be available at the press gallery via http://pressgallery.scifivision.com. This contains all but the older photos which will be available again soon.

Thank you for your patience.

DVD Review: "Bones" Season 7

BonesSeason six of Bones left the audience with quite a shocker, which revealed that Dr. Temperance "Bones" Brennan (Emily Deschanel) was pregnant with Special Agent Seeley Booth (David Boreanaz)'s child. Up until this point, a big part of the show was about the sexual tension between them, and it was never known to the audience that the two were a couple. Season seven deals with the aftermath of Brennan's reveal as well as her pregnancy and Christine's birth. The season also deals with them moving in together, and their compromises on providing for their child (Brennan is rich and wants to give the baby everything, which causes some disagreements).

Alphas 2.11 Review: "If Memory Serves"

By John Keegan

alphas_iconThe episode starts off with a bang, as Rosen and Cam’s commitment to take the war to Parish is realized. The relationship with the government may not be ideal at the moment, but it’s getting the job done. Rosen’s more aggressive attitude is plain as day, given that his careful handling protocols with Alphas has been tossed out the window.

The Good Wife 4.2 Review: "And The Law Won"

By John Keegan and Henry Tran

thegoodwife-iconThis was one of those patented busy episodes that this show does from time to time that could have easily ended up a mess. For the most part, the episode kept true to its busy, complicated schematic, with the subplot involving Kalinda keeping it from being a great one. It centered very much on Alicia and what she is able to handle.

Once Upon a Time 2.1 Review: "Broken"

By John Keegan and Edmund Boys

once_upon_a_timeOnce the smoke dissipated over Storybrooke, the question was which show would the producers of “Once Upon A Time” return with, having given themselves this massive purple reset button. Would it be the intriguing, surprisingly complex version of the first seven episodes, or the haphazard and inconsistent show that followed? The answer is quite a bit of the latter, with a final reveal that might lead to some of the former.
