Next Thursday, FOX premieres its new psychological thriller,
Wayward Pines. The series, based on Blake Crouch’s international best-selling book series, follows Secret Service Agent Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon), who is searching for two missing agents when he ends up in the mysterious town of Wayward Pines, where nothing is what it seems.
Executive producer M. Night Shyamalan (
The Sixth Sense,
Signs), who also directed the pilot episode, talked to the press earlier in the week about the new series, as well as a bit about his upcoming film,
The Visit.
Shyamalan talked to SciFi Vision about how the series was adapted from the book. “In our case, we had Blake’s first book, which was fantastic, and they wrote the pilot, and the information from the first book was basically in the [first five episodes], maybe a little bit into the sixth episode.
