M. Night Shyamalan Talks Wayward Pines, Premiering 5/14

M. Night ShyamalanNext Thursday, FOX premieres its new psychological thriller, Wayward Pines. The series, based on Blake Crouch’s international best-selling book series, follows Secret Service Agent Ethan Burke (Matt Dillon), who is searching for two missing agents when he ends up in the mysterious town of Wayward Pines, where nothing is what it seems.

Executive producer M. Night Shyamalan (The Sixth Sense, Signs), who also directed the pilot episode, talked to the press earlier in the week about the new series, as well as a bit about his upcoming film, The Visit.

Shyamalan talked to SciFi Vision about how the series was adapted from the book. “In our case, we had Blake’s first book, which was fantastic, and they wrote the pilot, and the information from the first book was basically in the [first five episodes], maybe a little bit into the sixth episode.

BBC America Renews Orphan Black for Season Four

BBC AMERICA Renews Critically-Acclaimed Fan Favorite “Orphan Black” For Season Four

New York, NY – May 7, 2014 – BBC AMERICA announced today the renewal of its award-winning original series “Orphan Black” for a fourth season.  The drama starring Tatiana Maslany has been re-commissioned for a 10 episode order from Temple Street Productions and is slated to air in 2016. Hailed as “utterly original and spellbinding” by The Daily Beast and “a multi-layer cake of performance” by The Los Angeles Times, season three is currently airing and will finale on Saturday, June 20 at 9PM ET.

Burbank, CA (May 5, 2015) – ABC Family has found their ‘Clary’ in Katherine McNamara. It was announced today by the network. McNamara was recently seen starring in the feature film “New Year’s Eve” and will be seen next in the feature film “Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials” and this summer on ABC Family’s hit series “The Fosters.”

Based on the bestselling young adult fantasy book series The Mortal Instruments by Cassandra Clare, “Shadowhunters” follows 18-year-old Clary Fray, who finds out on her birthday that she is not who she thinks she is but rather comes from a long line of Shadowhunters – human-angel hybrids who hunt down demons. When her mother Jocelyn is kidnapped, Clary is thrown into the world of demon hunting with mysterious Shadowhunter Jace and her best friend Simon. Now living among faeries, warlocks, vampires and werewolves, Clary begins a journey of self-discovery as she learns more about her past and what her future may hold.
