Dyson, played by Kris Holden-Ried, has his love for Bo, played by Anna Silk, back and Kenzi, played by Ksenia Solo, had previously been kidnapped. More recently, Bo learned that she has to go through The Dawning, a right of passage that all Fae must complete. If she fails she will devolve into an Under Fae. The problem is, it's happening two hundred years ahead of schedule. The Walking Dead 3.13 Review: “Arrow on the Doorpost”

By John Keegan

The-Walking-Dead-iconBy giving the Governor a more nuanced characterization from the start, the writers for The Walking Deadmade episodes like this possible. Some viewers may not take that as a positive development, but as someone that sees this show as being about the people more than the zombies, I would strongly disagree. Rick and the Governor are engaged in a staring contest, while we see how their respective followers could, given the chance, work together perfectly well.

Spartacus: War of the Damned 3.6 Review: “Spoils of War”

By John Keegan

Spartacus-War-of-the-Damned-300x220After the turnabout in the previous episode, marking the midpoint of the final season, it was inevitable thatSpartacus: War of the Damned would begin the slow march towards the breakdown and defeat of the rebellion. History has already written the script for the endgame: sooner or later, Crassus will drive division among the rebels, ultimately leading to their defeat and the victory of the Romans. The only real question is whether or not Spartacus will literally die, or simply pass into legend as he escapes the battlefield, his death merely assumed.

Grimm 2.13 Review: “Face Off”

By John Keegan

Grimm-2Grimm has been off the air far longer than it should have been, caught up in the latest inexplicable programming decisions by NBC. Armchair quarterbacking of network programmers is hardly a new phenomenon, but the claims from network and industry types that the general audience doesn’t understand the complexities of scheduling are moot when the evidence is right there for all to see!

Grimm Stars Forecast "Really Intense Emotional Stuff"

By Karen Moul

altGrimm returns from hiatus this week with an intense new episode. Although Renard and Juliette’s secret has been exposed, their attraction will intensity. Series costars Sasha Roiz and Bitsie Tulloch gave us a preview of what’s in store.

“What happens on Friday night,” said Tulloch, “we’ve not seen the likes of on Grimm so far. I think it’s just a great way to deal with what’s going on between the two of them and also to highlight how little control they have over it. That this is not some slow burning love, they can’t control the lust."

Roiz called the episode “Grimm after dark, a little racier version."

“I think [the fans will] be pleased,” he added, “and it’s a good payoff after this long hiatus.”

This week also brings the long-awaited showdown between Nick and Renard.

“I’m really glad that it’s happened,” said Roiz. “I’m really glad that we had a chance to finally confront each other because I think it’s something the fans had been waiting for a long time. And we as characters and actors had been waiting for as well. So I don’t think it’s a moment too soon.”

Community: Alternative History of the German Invasion

By Fiona Kelly

CommunitySince 2009, Community has brought their fanatical audience laughter and a strong connection with their favorite characters. However, this season, the season that fans fought so hard to get, has fallen flat.

The last episode, "Alternative History of the German Invasion," relied more heavily on past jokes than it did on what was happening in the episode. The episode revisited concepts present in season 3. The main concept being the study group's blatant disregard for the rules and everybody else. As usual, after a few good deeds, the balance within Greendale is restored. The study group gets their room back, and everyone else on campus is left their scraps.

2012 Movie Recall

By Daniel Denehy

2012 Movie Recall

The Hobbit: An Unexpected JourneyWithout a doubt, 2012 was one of the best years of movies in a long time, particularly if you're a fan of sci-fi and fantasy. We saw the end of franchises, the start of new ones, and even the catalyst for an entire new way of telling stories on the big screen. Unfortunately, what was a fantastic year had to come to a close, and though there are a good deal of promising movies coming out in 2013, here in the first few months we are left in the film industry's slow season. There aren't too many quality films in theaters right now, and we here at SciFi Vision thought it would be a good idea to bring up some movies from this past year that didn't get reviewed. We wish to encourage you to go back, and enjoy some movies that you may have missed or were unsure about. Of course, some of these may be on DVD now, but at least a couple are still in theaters for those of you who enjoy the movie-going experience. Now sit back, grab some munchies, and remember the following six movies, they may save you from boredom in these trying times.
